Great thanks go to Talis, Catherine and Gerald for setting everything up. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif

GGs to all, even the ones I didn't get to play. Just seeing everyone again is more than enough. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Man I crashed so hard after getting home from 6 hours of flights and driving home at 1AM. Slept like a baby. All I can say now is only Talis and Catherine's house could contain so much awesome in one spot. Thanks for taking the time to keep the VF community together.

There were too many unforgettable people there. Fred and Willy: Here's hoping you guys don't ever change. Wouldn't have been the same without you, had me laughing the entire event. The NY and VA crews have improved so much. Usually I expect to see the up and comers improving, but to see the players that are ALREADY on top step up like that was inspiring. There truly is no roof to VF skill.

The whole experience was surreal. SoCal is so dramatically different from my normal life. Hopefully I can see some SoCal players on the east coast at some point. Had an amazing time, and hopefully I can do it again sometime soon.

PS: If anyone finds a Border's bag with 3 books in it, let me know. I lost it the first day and never found it haha. Starting to think I left it at Ontario airport.

I only made it to the last day but it was good to see old friends and make some new ones. We even got to play some SF4. Plague and Catherine did a great job with the event. I can't wait to see the crazy stuff on the DVD! See you guys next time.

I just gotta say that for all those who did not attend... YOU ABSOLUTELY FUCKING MISSED OUT ON SOME SERIOUS VF SHIT! THE FOOTAGE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!

Now, with that said I would like to say thank you to everyone of the Socal guys and of coarse an even bigger than you the queen of VF who was holding it down in the team tourney. Babe... Konjou is your biggest fan!

Really I don't know how these guys do it, but every year it just gets better and better. I am definitely in for the next one.

    Shout outs are in order:

Yosuke - Thank you for all the tips you have giving me. Everything is greatly appreciated and I look forward to seeing you again real soon.

Myke - I haven't seen you since 2005 I think, but the moment I shook your hand it felt like no time had past and we just picked up right where we left off. It's always a pleasure to see you man and I really learn a lot from watching your Kage. I know you are probably tired of all the Aussie jokes and heckling you get in person and on VFDC, but thanks for being a stand up guy and just rolling with the punches. I really hope you can make it down next year if we get R. And if R is announced next week let's get that petition thread rolling ASAP!

LA Akira - Dude I don't think it's possible to put into words just how greatful I am to have you as a friend. Meeting and getting to know you is definitely one of those great moments in my life. Believe me when I say those random conversations we have on AIM / MSN has really helped me grow a person. Talking with you bro can be just down right inspiring! Thank you!

Flash - V.A. ALL DAY EVREE DAY.... HOLLA!

GoatCheeseBlues - I hate Sarah... You never disappoint bro! Great play from you as expected. I really admire how no matter what you are ALWAYS fucking smiling! I'll see you again real soon man.

BigBoy & Sanjuro - I'm shouting the both of you guys out at once because really to me you guys are one. The both of you are totally in sync with each other and it's just awesome to watch. Really the phrase "brother from another mother" fits the two of you perfectly. At the air port when I asked you guys how long you knew each other and Fred(Sanjuro) answer saying it was about 10 years. I loved how Richard chimed in and said "I like it!" and then you guys proceeded to fist bump. Man that shit was so awesome to me and just shows the level of respect and love the two of you have for each other. Don't ever lose that shit guys... all I can say is "THAT'S WHAT'S UP!" *random flash voice* HOLLA!

Cozby - Switchnation's #1 member. LOL dude I think you used more than half the characters on this trip. All BS aside it was awesome seeing you again man. Thank you for making the trip all the way out from Rhode Island to hang. Make sure you get your but on the plane for the next one. I figure by then you will have the rest of the cast move list memorized. hahahahaha

Johoseph - I get to play with you much, so hopefully if / when you have time you can always come down and session with us at my place man. Glad you could make the event and I hope you will come out to more of them.

Plague - Thank you... thank you... thank you! Keep'em coming!

ChefBoy - Glad you could make it man. It was awesome to see you again. I heard about your ' asleep at the wheel ' episode... LOL

Kaminari Oyaji - Great seeing you again Tim and great performance in the team battle tourney. It sucks you had to take off early to be with family, but hey man I can understand... I look forward to seeing you again soon bro.

Yupa - Thanks for coming out and supporting the scene. It's always great to have legendary veterans to hang with.

Air Jacky - Mr. Minnesota himself! Meeting you again for the second time after all these years is a pleasure. I really hope you continue to come out man. Now if only we can get the other half of the puzzle to come along next time we will be complete. See you soon!

CaliJared - You have definitely improved since last time we met. I hope you can qualify again this year for WCG so you can come out to NYC and hang with us.

Phoenixdth - Strong man... that's all I can say. Playing you is always tough bro. Hopefully with one of these events you will be able to attend for more than just a few hours per day. I would love to have played more with you.

Pinetree - Here is another guy that has improved ten folds. Keep up the good work bro and I commend you for taking the time out of your schedule to make the 4 hour drive down from Arizona. I hope to see you again at the next one.

HowBoutSum - I don't think I need to say much about the queen of VF. I'll just wait for the DVD footage to do the talking... Did you know that Konjou is your #1 fan?

KoD - I'm sorry that you weren't at 100% percent, but it was still awesome that you came any way. Get well man and I hope to see you at the next one.

Lion-2P - Thanks for coming out and supporting the tournament man. It's always a pleasure to have new players.

Dennis0201 - Hey did we even get to play with each other? I don't think so and that sucks! It was still awesome talking and hanging out with you though. I hope the graduation went well and I look forward to the next time we can see each other... wooooooot New York!

Dre - Even though it was just for a few hours on the last day, I am really glad you stopped by man. Fun games and it was great to see you.

Big thanks to Willy for the taco bell run and for over all just being an awesome guy. If you are ever in NYC you got a place to stay bro.

For anyone that I may have missed it was nice seeing you again.... later!

Plague You improved a lot since last time we played. I had to completely change the way I play when I took you out in the tourney. Goodluck to your improvement in the game. I'll definitely keep working on mine. Thanks for hosting and opening your home. That drive was awesome too.

Howboutsum Wow, I was so nervous playing you that messed up so much on my command inputs. You definitely took advantage, kudos. I am not looking forward to your Jeffry! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Thanks for opening your home to us.

L_A Thanks for having us on Saturday. That party was dope. VF tourney, and UFC. Karate's back. Can't believe I didn't get to play you again. Hope to see you in NYC.

Pinetree Thanks for driving me on the mountain side. I had great fun. Keep up the good work on your game on VF. I saw you immediately implement what we talked about and that help you improve throughout the event. You're definitely a much better now than when you arrived.

Goatcheese Wish we played more. But those are fun matches. Always fun talking and playing with you. Being teammates was great too. Probably the strongest team i've been in, that was almost unfair LOL.

Dennis I can't believe we didn't play much /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif I guess online we'll have to suffice for now. See you in the WCG invitational.

Yosuke Thanks for the tips on my game. And thank you that you keep helping us all improve. I don't think we will be improving this fast without your help.

    Flash Glad you made it.

ChefBoy Oh man, heard what happened. All I can say is that both ya'll are noobs /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif You improved alot in VF man, hope we played more. Great job on the Singles Tourney.

Cozby Nice to see you again. Keep up the good work. I'm amazed how many characters you can play at a pretty high level. And the fact that you play on a stick too...das wassup!!!! hehehehehe

Sanjuro You definitely improved. Your command inputs have gotten cleaner and you play a lot faster now. Keep up the good work. See you again next year.

Richard Don't feel bad about Flash and Chefboy, they're noobs afterall. Not your fault, haha. Always fun hanging out with. You were on fire the entire event, keep it up.

Myke Always a pleasure hanging out with you. I definitely am borrowing some of your stuff with Kage, your ninja is very tricky. Hope to see you again soon, maybe in NYC. Kenka FTW!

NYCAdam: Great job in the event overall. It never ceases to amaze me how you can focus that well in such a long period of time. Thanks for the tips.

Konjou: Thanks for the tips as usual. Great job on your performance in the event. Your Kage is coming along well, just need to learn the combos and some more tricks and you're set.

Shag: Always fun hanging out with you. Hope you play more. See you around.

Silly Willy It wouldn't have been a party without you. Always a pleasure. And for someone who only plays once a year, you can never be taken lightly.

Dre Glad you made it and good games.

Johoseph You improved tremendously as well since NYG7. Keep up the good work.

AirJacky I don't think we got to play at all. Glad seeing you again though. Till next time.

CaliJared Great improvement in your game. Good games.

Kaminari_Oyaji Nice meetting you and playing you. Wish we played more and that you were able to stay for the rest of the event but it's totally understandable.

My apologies for thoes I forgot. Congrats to everyone for repping hard. The VF community is the best!

First off, I would like to note on how strong ALL of the players were that attended. A decent online player would've had a ton of trouble. I wanted to see everyone there (that’s asking for too much... or is it?). The energy constantly being shared and fed is unlike anything you would experience online. You will see all the things you do wrong, and you will get excellent feedback if you want.

Plague - Thank you, thank you, thank you. You're extremely solid, and well-balanced. I’m definitely glad to know you, as you have been a big inspiration for me growing so much. Oh yeah did I mention you're good at VF? You helped me out in VF too. It's take a strong, confident mind to use Akira. Mine isn't all there yet, but close, lol. From playing you so much, I can do dbl throw escapes like nothing now! I hope I can be at every Socal gathering, I'm saving money for the next one right now.

Howboutsum - Konjou called it; you are the Queen of VF. He's gonna have to settle for #2. I wish more players had an awesome personality like yours. Out of all the players I've met, you are on the top of my list for being the. Everyone needs to meet Howboutsum. I'm sorry that we couldn't play, but conversing and watching you play was definitely a grand experience within itself. I swear, if I lived 500 mi. near you guys, you might need to get a restraining order... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

NYC - You guys represent hard in everything yall do. Adam, I've never ever seen you act out of character, it's kinda scary. You continue to represent US and I'm glad to label you as one of our finest leaders. Obama's gonna have to move aside. Oioron, you know something? Your mind games are very strong at times, but sometimes, I think it's better for me to ignore them and attack. I remember at NYG, Fulan asked me about a lei-fei attack that was -18. He wanted to know if it was unsafe, and I responded "uhh... idk." LOL that was a looong time ago. Not too long though I suppose.
Konjou, man, what can I say. As much as I look up to you, I really thought I would pull some good wins on you during Socal, but nope! To be honest, I just love going in to matches knowing that I'm gonna be challenged. I've learned so much from you; some inside, but so so much more outside of the game. You're a big part of why I've been able and have chosen to continue to push myself to higher levels. Please keep doing everything you do, cause I'm watching in the front row. Shag! You funny ass guy, A VF event isn't dope without you. You probably won't believe me, but I look up to you too. This game is only so important, but the players are the important part imo. Where those your old titties? HAHAHAHA

KoD - Aw shit my homie! Another guy I had too much fun playing with. It's funny because you told me not to use Lei-Fei during the tourney. When I play Lei-fei it's hard to think about the actual GAME compared to trying out different setups. You're a very strong minded individual, I've been getting better, but honestly that’s all I've been trying to get myself around to being. Improved game play is a sub-result entirely.

Yosuke - Nice, funny, kind, cool. These are trends you find in the strongest of the strong players it seems. Mental fitness and overall control is something I think us upcoming players lack; this is something you showed me. Thanks for all the advice you gave me, and all the rest of us. I’m taking note of everything! I’m really glad I got to hang out with you. Until next time though man... P.S. XOXOXO

Myke - Dude, you so fly. Meeting you was definitely a highlight for me. I got to watch how a true pimp handles his business, and damn, you really know how to put on a show. I wish I would have came earlier and stayed longer, just so I can hang out with such as class act as yourself.

PhantomHarlock - Listen man, don’t beat yourself up. You have alot of good things going on. I've been playing/thinking about this game non-stop like a crack head, but that's only because I have the time to do so. Since my phone has a browser and 3G, I'm on vfdc practically 24/7. VF takes too much work sometimes, so much that I've stopped doing certain things and have lost attentivity towards some of the things I previously would have prioritized. What I'm saying is, don't feel bad about not being the strongest. You've got alot of strong players around you that would definitely be willing to share their time and knowledge, that's something only a few of us have now. Lei fei is cheap though, lol.

SillyWilly - You were gonna fuck Johoseph up. HAHAHA!! Dude you cool as shit, thanks for all the love. Big ups on whuppin on me in the Team Tourney too, you had your game Tiiight. You gonna get me laid next time, right?

LA Akira - Just as cool as I imagined. DUDE! Thanks for taking time to help me get to where Im trying to go. I feel like I owe you not only as a person, but also as a player. You were an excellent, attentive host for all of us. You're so gangster men... keep VF alive.

GoatCheeseBlues - You're one of the players that I was happiest to have played against. You handed me a decisive, humbling defeat during the tourney, which I couldn't have appreciated more. I think I decided to choose lei-fei, because I had wanted to win fast, without much effort. You proved to me that I shouldn't play like that, especially in certain situations. I hope we definitely can play more, cuz even in 1 match you have taught me alot.

CaliJared - you know what? Screw this, I'm moving to Cali. There are too many awesome people over there. I wish there were more people my age that were as cool as you in Rhode Island. Thanks for playing with me, not only did you teach me many things I didn't know about SF4, but did I mention that I learned alot about Jacky from you during our sets? I appreciate your contributions and coming out to give us a welcome.

Phoenixdth - I really didn't know anything about you beforehand, but I’m very glad you came around! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Thanks for sharing a good amount of time to play with me. I'm so glad to meet another person that really understands how "good" lei-fei can be XD. It's awesome to meet another strong player that I can conversate about the game with. Take my small proposal into consideration! HAHA

    Flash - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdvITn5cAVc

BigBoy & Sanjuro - Come to every VF event I go to, pleease. You guys have an extremely positive natural energy, which is the same stuff that keeps the players around and having fun. You guys prove that while it's cool to play the game and be good at it, there's also something much more important going on that you won't get from observing a monitor. I think even the most skilled VF players can learn something from you guys.

Cozby - Stop relying on Lei-fei to save you, n00b. That is all.

Johoseph - You already know bro. It's funny how we have became close as players and how we continue to challenge each other and push ourselves to be better players. Let's keep playing man; we'll take this VF thing over.

ChefBoy - DancinfighterG2 - o shit! Haha man I wish I stuck around with you and Flash during the whole event. Next time I'll bring a camera too. +1 for rocking the illest Vanessa too man, that's so rare in the US.

Lion-2P - You had surprised me more than anyone at the event. For someone that I hadn't even known beforehand, you brought a very positive energy that I thought was incredibly cool. Your Lion was strong, and I can tell you know what you're doing. Keep playing man; I hope we'll be able to play in the future.

Kaminari Oyaji - 6p 6p 6p 6p... 6p HAHAHA!! How many fighting games do you play though man... sheesh. Next time, hopefully me, you and Fred can all get some skating in. That'd be super dope.

Yupa - Uncle got sick... DAMNIT. I felt pretty sick the whole time too, I dunno how I held on though. I can't stop though; I need to play VF as much as possible! I think we're lucky; for living where we live, we probably have a higher VF density than most places. Next time though, I'm killing Numbers if he doesn't wanna go. I hope he takes note of this fact.

Air Jacky - Boyd man, I actually didn't know that you were gonna be there. Good shit on taking Yosuke on in style... you did it better than all of us /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif I’m glad you were able to make it, hopefully next time we'll be able to play. Ill bring all the butter! YES

Pinetree - I didn't get a chance to tell you how much better you have gotten. Your decision making is a ton better over from what I remember seeing you do online. I’m overly familiar with Brad, but hopefully we can share constructive feedback the next time we play.

Dennis0201 - I've learned alot from a majority of the strong players. But its certain things you do that I have completely robbed blindly. You're extremely fun and challenging for me to play with and that seems to be the story with everyone. You're also another strong player with a kind, cool personality. Damn, I bet Oprah would beast at this game. Please continue to play VF, and hopefully I will be able to learn more from you.

Dre - WOW I didn't expect to see you. You were the original guy I met online that gave me some "hard" lessons on how to use Lei-fei. I didn't realize it was you until afterwards, I thought you only used lei-fei. But ur the OG switchnation. Thats hot! I'm glad you made an appearance... jeez. It's as if VF just supplies a long haul of awesome people. Next time, we'll get down on some games though.

oh snap... extra shoutouts go to ppl that have helped me get better. Tony's Brad is tough as nails to defend against. Thanks for taking time to play me. Superhero shoutout to Slide for being the head teacher for me in VF school. I did as you said, and didn't play like you told me not to, except for once, because thats where it started going.

Back in the lou and still feel tired after the crazy ass weekend!

Big ups to catherine, talis, and gerald for making me feel like family and for putting together a awesome gathering!

Also, big ups for everyone that attended and a very big sorry for having to split out to see family, but that only happens every so often and I had to take the time to chill with them.

I look forward to the next gathering and to staying away from playing online (however long that lasts). Cheers to everyone and cya soon.

    You love me/You hate me..

Real life is a pretty damn good attacking player, huh? Feels like I've been back for a month & I'm sure there's things I have no business forgetting which won't get mentioned here.

First off a big thank you to Howboutsumpai, Plague & L_A for hosting, logistics, rides, tournament directing, soft drinks/coffee/water/grapefruit(!) and everything else that went into providing everyone with comfortable and positive environs in which to duke it out. I imagine it is tiring (and thrilling!) to open your homes to so many people for upwards of a week. Thankyou all so much.

Willy I'm glad you found out in time to come and maintained your freedom for the duration of the event! You are an S+ tier individual. Thanks for the rides and the company...these trips wouldn't be as fun without you.

I approached this year's socal trip with cautious optimism and a determination to play as many matches against as many people as I could. I was bummed that I didn't get to play against Dennis since he's so fun to play and his style is just so damned cool. And WTF was up with Spotlite! pop out of nowhere...crap I missed out there. I wanted to play more against Pinetree too but the beginnings of a good session were interrupted by the demand to share, which is totally reasonable. I also needed more time vs. Plague and Flash and Yupa and Tim (sorry yo! can't spell Kaminari Oyagi...is that it?).

Actually though I wish I could have gotten to play more against everyone, even those I sat down & played a bunch with. In some cases, especially those I sat down and played a bunch with.

Myke you are truly a Virtua Fighter! It seems like if you weren't playing, you were eating or you were sleeping. And then you'd have enough energy & consideration to help tidy up or thank a brother for a ride or bring a cat to training mode and polish him up. Top Notch!

Johoseph dude it was wicked to meet you & hang out. I can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve for next time, until then keep playing with that quickness & /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif FTW!

adamYUKI you are a fucking champion dude and I'm not even talking about the tourney. Positivity and laughter...you know that's what makes the ladies JIZZ IN THEIR PANTS!

    KoD Of course you'll never admit it but I'm sure deep down inside you get a serious kick out of being a member in full of <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Warning, Spoiler: <input type="button" class="form-button" value="Show" onclick="if (this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display != '') { this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display = '';this.innerText = ''; this.value = 'Hide'; } else { this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display = 'none'; this.innerText = ''; this.value = 'Show'; }" /></div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div style="display: none;">Team Heavy Rape</div></div></div> On the real though, you are a kickass human & that Jeffry just kept getting meaner and meaner every time I looked. I'm also glad you got to get a session with Richard to see what it's like "at the house".

CaliJared You are coming along nicely! Thanks for the games and I guess we have to officially name you the unofficial Dural-off champion.

Konjou that session I had with you was a big highlight of my trip and alone worth the price of admission. I'm deeply impressed by the spirit of your play and your fundamentals. And then of course you are hilarious. Next time!

GoatCheeseBlues It isn't a socal event until you show. Your Sarah is an official fitgiver & the good time you are having is just infectious. Next year brother!

Oioron rock f'ing solid! You just keep getting stronger. Good showing in the tourney. The old quote "sometimes a man's just gotta know his limitations" is getting quainter & quainter ain't it?

DRE awesome that you came down & it was a treat to get some games in.

Yosuke I am so impressed by your intensity. When you pop the stick for missing the throw escape or command or tap your character on the monitor for making a mistake we can all get a glimpse of the sort of drive and focus achieving your level of skill requires. & thanks for the beating...it was an honor!

Phoenixdth Thanks for the LeiFei lesson. I say lesson but it was only a lesson if the instruction went like "this is what getting kicked in the face by a shaolin monk feels like"! I really would have liked to play you more but I'm stoked you showed up regardless.

PhantomHarlock Nice to see you, yo! Keep repping Lau in socal!

Cozby next year we bring skateboards & hit that park. Other than that I'll do my best to keep up with you next year...something tells me that will be a tall order!

L_A I think the word is motivation.

Shag Good games. If I could ever start doing better in these tournament type things we could get a rivalry going! You rock!

ChefboyOB had fun vs you. Scary Vanessa. Stylin' outfits. 'nuff said!

Air_Jacky I sought out playing you because of the crazy stuff that seemed to happen every time I saw you play. Good stuff!

Richard I think I failed to warn them about putting you on a couch in front of a big ass TV! Showstopping performance in the team battle that we will talk about for years...the DVD will rock the fucking party. Now. You better be at home and awake because I haven't gotten to play you since DRE showed up. IIRC you took the first 3 and I got the next 2...first to 5, READY? GO!

Good lookin on the shoutout fam. Proud of the fact that you took the VF challenge head on and didn't bail for an easier fighter like a lot of young cats do. Instead of taking shortcuts like learning cheezy bullshit that works online or relying on Lei-Fei magic you decided to not only learn frames and advanced defensive/offensive tactics but you also took on the monumental challenge of learning most of the cast (all?). That takes cojones my amigo and a lot more dedication than most of us have.
Plus, Soul Calibur 4 and SF4 came and you still here so I can tell you down to ride til the wheels fall off /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif
Looking forward to playing you in R and when you beat my ass Ima send you a message like this:

"What strength, but don't forget there are many fighters like you all over the world."

Props to whoever knows where that's from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Props! Actually, every fighter that you beat in SF1 said that but props anyway. They all said the same thing when they beat you too:
"You've got a lot to learn before you beat me, try again kidd, ahahahaha!!"
/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Best win quote ever XD

Never that bro... well, maybe back when I was more annoying /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif and a lot of people here would take my silly posts waaaay too serious >_<

Still kinda pissed that I missed the chance to meet you but I'm sure our paths will cross sooner than later.

I had a great time, despite coming down with a head cold Sunday. Many thanks to our hosts Plague, HowBoutSum and L_A. Also a big thanks to SillyWilly for helping with transportation. Your generosity is much appreciated.

I don't have much time to do a detailed write up right now, but I have pics!

Sometimes going to a restaurant with 20 plus people can be a bad experience, but we had a couple of great feasts on this trip.

I might be going back to LA for Frisco's alone:

But then we also had a great brunch at Roscoe's before heading over to L_A's house:

That's SillyWilly and Johoseph waiting outside.

I also want to applaud whoever made the choice for catered tacos at L_A's on Saturday night after the tourney. Delicious! I wanted to try everything. It was also a great change of pace watching UFC... heh, "open stance!" "He just used Jeff's 4KP!"

Plague's dogs might just rival Chief_Flash's ;-) They both liked staring in at us crazy VF otaku.

L_A's set up is S++ class.

That's Myke playing Chefboy. Chefboy had some pink sunglasses to go with the pants =)

Here's what ended up being the match for 3rd and 4th place, Myke vs. Konjou.
Yosuke, Shag (I hope), and adamYUKI in the background. Plague is sitting on the floor with the camera.

And the finals, Yosuke vs. Adam.
Both of the Yosuke/Adam matches were epic. Jaw dropping defense from both players is all I can say. I can't wait for the DVD. I'm hoping Plague will find a way to have the match replay on screen with the player's face and reactions to what's going on at the same time.

Cudos to Cozby for making this trip with me. Having someone to talk to during *4* 2 hour plus flight layovers made the time fly by. Luckily our flights were all on time.

Besides coming down with a head cold (I think Flash is to blame /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif ) Upon coming home, I learned that I needed to replace a tire on my car (ended up costing ~$200) and my room's ceiling caved in. (We're having the roof raised, and one of the workers got too enthusiastic during the demolition.)

Oh well... here's hoping we can do this again in 6 months, rather than a year /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
