That's so bizarre. This is a repeat of last year (VF party and comicon at the same time), I think. May have been the year before - hard to say. Comic Con without sleep is entirely acceptable. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The pink slip?! He doesn't have anything commensurate to offer in return; my desire to get Shang to shut up is not that great. The onus is on Shang to show the world that he can beat me, not on me. I've opened up a challenge and have done my part...now it's up to Shang to accept or decline.

Here's what I'm proposing:

- Winner takes all $500 pot; cash must be on the table when we play otherwise we don't play
- First to 30 wins wins the bet
- No character switching
- Switch sides (1P, 2P) every 10 matches
- Standard settings: 45 seconds, 200 points health, best of 5 rounds per match
- If I lose, I will say I am full of shit on video
- If Shang loses, he pledges to never flame on VFDC again (you can say Kage sucks, I don't care about that, but no more personal attacks)
- Match will be played Saturday morning

That is the entire bet. Sorry Shang, there's no way you'll moderate here and I'm certainly not banning myself. I'm sorry I can't offer more than $500, but I am a student and in debt. And I don't think it's necessary to play to 100 matches--I think first to 30 (or even 20) should be enough.

Let me know if you agree to these terms by EOD today and I'll book my flight.

Oh, yeah, what time is Saturday morning? I suggest 12:01 am Saturday morning as the party starts 7:30 pm Friday night. Perfect midnight event.

Richard and I were talking about the match. He feels, and I concur, that 5 is the proper number for this happening. The brevity will demand intensity but at the same time features enough matches to establish clear superiority. If you haven't figured it out by the time y'all get to five, you aren't going to. Also, guaranteed no spectator will get bored and you have the ancillary benefit of being able to post the vids online. $500 dollars is serious business. Do it right.

Personally I prefer first to 15. I'll let the Shangster chime in on this since he wanted 100, but first to 30 is my limit. Any more and I'll get mind numbingly bored.

Well, whatever you want to do. I'm guessing that people will be asleep or gone around that time as the VF party will have been running 14 or 15 hours by 10 am Saturday. It's not that your match won't be enough of a draw to keep people around and awake - I'm just thinking the word of the moment will be "bleary."

I'm planning to leave at 3 or 4 AM so I can at least get home before the sun comes up. If the Deathmatch takes place on 10 AM Saturday, I'm going to miss it. ;_;

Assuming the Deathmatch takes place, while I know I don't have the final word on when it will happen, as a potential spectator, I'd like to see it happen much sooner than later during the party.

As much as I find this exciting lets not allow this to get ugly. Be friendly about this wether you win or lose. I've been to Talis' place before (as you Ice) and if I hear there was some rucus I'll kindly bust both of your asses myself. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
