Yeah I thought someone might say that, so I edited my post (you were too quick to respond!). To summarize:

The Norcal team (ex-Yosuke, the team with Srider, Raoul, and myself) took out in the final pool
    - NYC: Rodney, Denkai, Shag
    - Socal: You, Ken-I, SC Akira

NYC and Norcal are missing players too, c'mon (e.g. WrathX, one of our stronger players) -- you don't get to use that as an excuse for Socal's performance.

Brisal is saying that NYC is #1, Socal is #2, and Norcal is #3. I'm responding with...O RLY? Based on the team and singles tournament, I don't think you can make that statement at all. BTW just to be clear I'm not the one trying to say which area is better than the other. Like I said before, the results are not conclusive (other than Japan is best).

Does anybody actually read posts anymore?

I was talking about the BUY.com tourney. Not Plagues Single or The Team. Team was not a tourney to deem someones scene elite since teams were mixed and it was thrown as a fun thing to do. Plagues single had one of the best Japanese players and it was pretty much a given that he would win it.

Buy.com was americans playing americans hence why I stated the results.

If it will make Nocal feel better
    East#1
    West#2

    Dude Namflow is not American.

And personally I think a team tournament is more indicative of a scene's strength than a singles tournament.

Again without Masterpo or their clan competing, nothing can be proven, and that's the point I was trying to make.

Jeff: A scene comparison in the U.S. based on a tourney don't work. Plus, I know and everyone knows that you are a good NAVF player without you really having to prove it with a post. I just didn't think it was necessary. I was being sarcastic in my original post. Read again.

Brian: Unless you just want to stir the pot for some reasons, please let's just let it die. I first thought your original post was a joke. I don't know about your follow up posts.

Anyway, I am done with this.

I understand why you posted, but you're shooting the wrong man. This is what I wrote:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Don't know man it [scene rankings] looks pretty inconclusive to me.</div></div>

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">BTW just to be clear I'm not the one trying to say which area is better than the other. Like I said before, the results are not conclusive (other than Japan is best).</div></div>

So CHILL OUT, and you should take more care about what you write in the future.

jeff you're at fault to for taking this so seriously, you know we lost joey mid tourney and yet you still bring it up. Stop spinning it at so many different angles, especially when a lot of strong socal players couldnt make the tourneys.

    and heres the kicker,
    we're arguing about 3rd place!

    3RD PLACE!!

Props to denkai for not being a part this absolutely stupid debate.

Brian, nothing against you, but dont start shit that you cant personally backup. Dont bring the onus on other people. It makes socal look bad.

Jeff, ignore Brian in the future.

Jimmy dont retire, Cappo is digusted with your descision (cough peer pressure) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

    Final Word IS
    1st: Team Comic Stealth
    1st: Japan
    1st: NY

no room for 2nd, the 1st place loser

Alex, don't you think it's a little ridiculous to accuse someone of being too serious with a seriously loaded post like yours? C'mon man. Pot. Kettle. Black. And ask Joey what our record was prior to the team tourney.

    Hey guys!
sorry for delay. it was like my delayed 33K....lol
I got home on 1st, and my classes started on 2nd, so I was too tired to do anything.

    JAPAN
YOSUKE: As I think, I am the one who have improved the best during the vacation. lol I feel like I am from seattle though hehe

Namflow: thanks for showing up on the tournament! I was so glad to play with you( not El. haha) hope we can play again

    NYC:

Konjou_Akira: It has not changed a bit that you always ask me about VF when we meet even though, this time, I did not know about VF5 much. I was so happy to teach you a lot of skills. don't forget and play your own way. hope you can improve your akira's step by the time we will meet in summar. don't use El. haha
oh! don't forget to train your heart, man!!!!

Shag: It had been for a year? no. I went to NYC last winter.you are so funny guy, haha. hope next time, we can drink together and play vf5. let me watch your ''year dance''

Denkai84: It was so much fun the matches after the single tournament. not only my winning matches(myPP6P Ei vs your goh), but the match I was about to lose(my Wolf vs your Kage) It was so funny when I teased you with the characters' winning poses. I remember you behaved like a baby. lol ...talking to your VF, copying my move is ok, but copying my style means you can not beat me, and you can not improve without me. remember it carefully. everyone will be stronger by Evo final. practice your own also, ok?

    NORCAL
ice-9: hay gey-....ice-9! I was so glad to meet you again!! It's been for exactly one year! and I was so glad to play with you because when I played with someone who uses a character I had never played, I got beat. I lost konjo's El a lot as well.
I did pretty well with shang because of you I think. thankyou

Srider: it was nice to meet you.I did not expect you are asian haha. I could not play with norcal players a lot, so I am kind of sad. I hope I can visit youin the future, and play more! ....thanks for the team tournament! ....and games ^-^

KTallGuy: I am not so good. thanks anyway. thanks for being on the same team. I used to be secound player, not last one, so it was so much fun. hope you train hard and we will meet at Evo final.

Renzokuken: thanks for the team!! we did not play a lot I think. hope you can train and get strong. thanks for the team tournament!

Raoul: nice to meet you, and thanks for the arcadia! I got some information from the book, and I could teach konjo some. hope we can meet again and play more in the future!

    Socal

PhoenixDth: thanks for showing up more than other players. I could check my strength by playing with you. when I played you on the first day, I was awkward, I could not handle my character ,and I felt like I was going to lose. I mean, I suck: but when we played on saturday and sunday, I did not feel I was going to lose as much as the first day. try to think your balance of offence and diffence.

LA Akira: thanks for driving me to the beach and taking me to the restaurants!! I was so happy to eat those foods!! and as I played with you, I felt you got stronger, but to improve your strength, do not relay on only strong moves. you may already know that if you use only few moves, I can get used to them so easily. all moves have purposes, and think when you need to use. there is no answer which move you should use. if you hit, that is one answer.

El_Brisal: thank you so much. I wanted to go to your house more, but we were so tired to go lol. try to use 0 frame throw and you are going to be better.

Talis and Katherine: oh my god!! how can I show you guys my appreciation!? thanks for hosting me for 2 weeks. hosting someone for 2 weeks is so hard. that was a wonderful time like a dream!! thank you for nice break! I was so happy to hear you said you had never won on the tournament like that before. it was so good! even though you lost against L_A akira, it was so close. glad to see your improvement. I am also proud of making food for you. I hope you practice shogi and play it again!!

Akira_love:thanks for writing me as a good person. haha. you are so nice, kind ,and friendly man, too!! I was so glad to meet you and play vf5 with you! yap.maybe next time! we will play in the future! I usually estimate the level of player and give advice, so it is supposed to be not too hard. I am always hard to konjo though haha

SC Akira: are you the one who played with shang and me? if so, I remember you. thanks for the matches. you are pretty good. to go to forword, you may need to play with the wall. use the wall and hit a good combo!

GoatBlueCheese: are you a one of brians? thanks for the matches!you are so nice guy, men! to train, some players were waiting for you to use a big move. it is ok, but sometimes you may need to throw directly.

Willy: thanks for the laugh. you are the funniest Vf player in the world. I declare. to improve, you need to judge the situations more because you seem you are always confused. grasp the situations faster.

    I am not yotaku

Lion 2P: thanks for playing with me. It was a good time to had a dinner!

    Other

Ladon: you are awesome person, too!! I am pretty sure you are the only one who plays rather different way from American. hmm...maybe you and Konjo. sorry only two guys. also you are younger than the others who stayed at tails house. that was cool. what i taught you on the car was a secret. if you use shun, focus on what I said on the car. if you use El....I need to train lol

Shang: It was a great time to meet you! I did not recognize that you are more than 30..... and you are already married.....what the hell!? I was so glad to meet you and play.... I liked you got so much boooooing

Chanchai: I am so happy to meet you in LA. you managed it. we did not play a lot but we can play here. i hope i can go your place in 2~3 weeks. see you.

Kod:you are very welcome. that a heavily secret. you are allowed to tell no one....lol keep practice!

maddy:we neeeeeeeed you~~~~~. don't quit VF. I was hoping you were coming as a surprise.

Dude I'm American - born in philly raised in south jersey. It's cool if you guys wanna group me into being from Japan as far as VF5 skills go, but I've got the red white and blue running through my veins as much as any other american dude out there. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif USA! Eh?!? Sorry I don't know why I thought you were Canadian...what's your accent? It can't be a NJ accent can it? Anyway if we go by birth then I wouldn't be counted as American. After playing your El Blaze for quite a few matches I've realized just sticking to the basics works best. Let me know how the fancy Kages in Japan confuse you because I wish to learn. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
