SoCal gathering with Yosuke!! March 24th

Good News:
Yosuke has mentioned a couple things, He is ok with a VF meet on friday night as soon as he flys in (the 24th). After getting some quick grub, (probably some In-N-Out), we should make it to Talis's place by 11:15

Bad News:
Yosuke plans to leave the 27th morning, (on the bright side, if all goes well, maybe yosuke will stop by again on the return trip /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif )

The Ugly and nitty gritty:
The evo tournament version was actually brought up by the ohio crew (hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink on a suprise appearance). I also believe evo is a more fair format to all players competitively, I personally would like to see Tampa Area Champion non handicapped /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Also Yosuke mentioned the idea of a team tournament as well. So a couple ways to toss it up.

Evo 1v1 tournament
FT team tournament

OR
Evo 1v1 Evo Team, and just free play on FT

OR
Evo 1v1 Evo Team and FT Team, since team tourneys dont last too long anyways

OR
if the majority of players that has no FT, is ok with doing a FT 1v1, then that will be fine as well

So the tentative schedule so far is,
24th - whenever people show up evo tourney
25th AM - people will sleep or still be playing evo
25th PM - Lunch and Dinner up and FT play
26th AM - whoevers not deathly tired, quick tour of LA
26th PM - more FT?, but of course!!

I guess we would be able to have Evo 1vs 1 tournament, Evo team battle, and FT tournament.

For the party at my house on Friday, we should have anywhere from four to six set-ups. Seven Evo set-ups are possible as long as people bring equipment.

As far as tourneys go I'd prefer to see a single Evo tourney (single elim/double elim for finals). Free play for FT would be great, but I feel a tourney wouldn't make sense.

Bryan, I don't think anyone saw Dobes, but he said that he'd be back here for a few days in 2 or 3 weeks!

 

Yeah Dobi called me a few days ago and said he'll be back in a few weeks, so I'm sure he'll post up again soon.

Evo 1on1 tourney sounds like a good idea. As for FT, whatever the majority decides is ok with me.
