Sunday is a free day....some could play VF, some could tour socal areas, and some can go to Disneyland. Remember most of our guests have never been to California so they might want to do something other than VF. Hard to believe I know /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey guys...I'm negotiating with my boss the missus on coming down that weekend and hanging out with all you VF phreaks. Would greatly appreciate if you guys can answer a few questions:

1. Is there a floor for me to sleep on? I would be bringing my sleeping bag if I come so I don't need a sofa.

2. What is the current schedule of activities? I'm thinking of coming down on the 24th and returning on the 27th.

3. I'm in the Bay area--should I drive or take the plane? What do you experienced travelers recommend?

Hey there,

Here's some answers...

1. There is floor space at my house. In light of the massive coolness of this event, anyone who's OK with crowding next to furniture/people is welcome to sleep here. Good that you have a sleeping bag. Some of the flooring is hard and I'm providing what futons and padding I can.

2. Schedule of activities is on the first post of this thread. Replace Saturday night with the info found here.

3. Driving takes 6-8 hours depending on how heavy your right foot is. If you drive, you have a car - it adds to your freedom and allows you to help shuttle people around. If you fly, you'll get a ride to and from the airport plus transportation while you're here. SoCal is prepared to accomodate /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

4. Get a new boss.

Sweet, SoCal does provide! I'm leaning towards flying and it would be really great if I can get picked up. I'm a total idiot when it comes to directions, maps, etc.

What would be a convenient time for you to pick me up? I can pretty much leave either Thursday night or anytime Friday.

Edit: Just noticed that Adam is coming in at 10:45 pm on Thursday night; there's a flight arriving at 10:15 pm from where I am to ONT so maybe I can catch a ride with Adam?

Every day this event gets more amazing. Thank you, Ice-9, for deciding to do this. Thank you, Adam for jumping in with the airport transportation.

I predict a smooth, coordinated weekend packed with as much VF goodness as can be stuffed into it. I appreciate all the SoCal players who are going the extra mile to make this event work. I'm grateful to all the out-of-state and out-of-country visitors who are making the trip out here.

Yes, I'm married. I will now brag about my wife...

My wife plays VF. Her name is Catherine. She's in the famous Orange Book Photo and I'm not. I was out-of-town. She went to Evo2k3 on her own. This party? She's into it. Having our floors covered wth crashed-out VFer's? She's into it. VF? She's into it.

If Adam and Shag are staying at my place, you are welcome. If they are not, you are still welcome. Regarding GoatCheeseBlues place and said crashing - that's up to him.
