1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

I think failure help us thinking harder, while success breed contempt.

If you win a match it still might mean you had to adjust to the opponents game during the match and change your strategies a couple of times.
Learning something new might have been the key to winning the match in the first place.
Why wouldn't you learn from a win?

Change your mindset or forget about it.

This is not a chore, but if it feels like that to you, and it doesn't feel fun to you, don't bother anymore.

Some people that get into the game have already made up their mind about the game, before they see for themselves what's good.

Couldn't say it any better.......... I think there has been enough posts now in this thread to satisfy Grussel's inquiry.

GGs last night. And I figured out why you play the way you do. With whatever connection you have to the internet, there's just enough lag for it to work consistently. The only way for you to really get better is through off line play against a partner or Quest mode. Quest mode will break you out of those bad habits of yours by 10th Dan on expert. The biggest weakness you have is that you dont punch check. I think its a vital part of VF's system. Another is the lack of throw breaks. Personally I use low punch in combos only, when Im doing a combo or to break my opponents combo. Its not a reliable defensive option IMO. Really all you need is to practice defensive techniques, look at Flashes Vid.

Then Koedo must learn very little.

I think you can learn just as much from wins as from losses.

The quote should be "It 's harder to learn from a win than it is from a loss because improvement isn't staring you in the face."

you have to actually be thinking to get better while winning. A loss forces you to acknowledge you need to improve. You can improve from both just one requires pro-activeness while the other doesn't.

I can't tell if you just miss-read my quote and are agreeing with me or not. It seems like we're in accord.
