yeah, i've only just watch that match and it was awsome! notice how he even does the open stance dash-in combo it's like everything you need to see with goh in one match, /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif truly stylish

She didn't give him a chance.

Vanessa's + is a really good move...though high, it's half circular, not throw counterable (not in evo anyway) & crumples on any hit.

If you watch the vid again, you'll notice that Vanessa uses the move first after a successful low punch inashi, then to punish both a whiffed throw attempt (opposite nitaku after ducked + aka guard crush tornado) & a whiffed throw escape attempt (after Jeff's blocked ). The move also works well vs predictable dodges since it's half circular & is Icecold's drug of choice after the left hand hold +.

It ain't a move you can spam, but used correctly it can help end matches quickly.

& how about that Akira v Lion match? Stand alone DJK, & a couple outta nowhere bodychecks. I don't feel like such a freak anymore.

The symbol in 322 is a buddist symbol, not a nazi one. The nazi symbol is like a flip over version from that one. They do look sorta similar though, but there is a world of difference meaning between those 2. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yeah, it's called "Manji." Like Plasma said, it is an old buddhist symbol. There are actually 2 types: left and right. The right manji looks just like a swastika (two crossed "S"s). The left manji is the mirror image of the right manji and is the one used in Japan. It's very common in Japan. In fact, I have one on an omamori that I bought and I got a lot of people asking me why I have a swastika symbol -_-;;;.

yeah its a buddhist symbol, but on a character like Goh, whose like a tough punk "yankee" or whatever they call punks in japan, its just a symbol of toughness/evilness. japanese dont see it as advocating racism as westerners/europeans do.

i learned this after watching an episode of great teacher onizuka where the bike gang all wore bandanas with swastikas on them. puzzled by this, i asked a japanese friend and he said its just to show their tough and evil, like the nazis were. i dont personally subscribe to the notion that killing innocents is "tough", but hey thats japan for you /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
