Hmm about 1:25 into the Akira vs Lion match, Akira does SDE and hits Lion on YC and NO STOMACH CRUMPLE. So looks like SDE only crumples on RC.

One thing I don't like about this YC and RC is that...is it just me...or is YC a LOT more noticeable than RC? I mean YCs are in your face, whereas RCs are quite subtle.

Shouldn't the flash effect be commensurate to the damage received?

And... about 00.17 Aki does ST and it isn't struggled out of. More easily struggled in FT?

The YC float definatly seems to be dblplm height btw - it's just as normal hit. Yes I'm one to whine but Akis "weaknesses" has traditionally, imo, been he's linear and arguably his defensive options - both of which have been improved upon in FT (a new semicircular tool that does a ton of damage and is safe on block, sabaki etc). Nothing I've seen so far tells me that Aki's gonna be much weaker in FT.

I'm still not too sure about this yellow/red counter stuff. In that vid it looked like the SDE interrupted Lion's backdash, not any actual attack. Is the yellow counter supposed to happen when you interrupt high or low punch? It looks like it applies to backdash also.

Lion was doing +. YC occurs if you are hit out of a move that does 14 points or less damage. RC if the move does 15 or more. Lion's + does 12.

It seems that after succeful inashi on sweeps attacks like low rising attack,Aoi's + isn't garanteed anymore....... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif
And the joystick animation for struggling out during the stagger animation of the inashi has disapeared.does it means nothing is garanteed after it?.....
same thing about the YY stance parry against high/mid kick:no joystick animation,is + garanteed after that?I hope I'm wrong!!!
