1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Yeah, god forbid them if they do anything that has the potential to increase the popularity of the game [IMG]

Knowing Sega, they will be officially anouncing that they are ending the VF series, and VF5R will be the last VF game to be released... and they're still not going to give us a console port. Either that, or they'll announce Virtua Quest 2. [IMG] I would like to believe that Sega would do something smart for once, and announce something that VF fans around the world could appreciate, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

VF1-3tb on Xbox360 with LIVE versus play. I would never open VF5 again.

In all honestly, despite Sega's best efforts, I'm optimistic about the announcement.

We need a miracle if this is VF5R for consoles...

Which this will not be. The translation is that that this is the third anniversary of the Japanese plan, ie the arcade. They are anticipating the gratitude of the crowd when it is announced. It will be for arcades. It is not VF5R for consoles. It will be something bigger...

    I'm taking "bets" [IMG]

    2000-1 Virtua Quest 2
1000-1 a mention of Michael Jackson
750-1 a mention of Hatsune Miku
    500-1 a mention of Sonic
100-1 Old school VF for XBL
    50-1 VF5R console
    10-1 VF5R Version C
5-1 It will come this year whatever it is.
    3-2 some random shit [IMG]

My money's on this year's coming. They will show us and we won't get to play with it for some time, who knows.

It has got to be some huge tournament like a KS or OH. Or possibly something like special items for anyone who plays X amount of games within the month of July to celebrate the third anniversary of VF5.

I'm still enjoying version C on the 360 but I've completely stopped watching VF5R videos as it's just highly aggravating to see something so great that you cannot play.

I hope it's not another arcade related thing that we'll never see over here. I don't think it's any sort of VF5R console announcement since that probably would have happened already. If only Sega knew how to hype a fighting game as well as Namco can.

SEGA already said there is no current plan for VF5R on console. Is that possible that they change their mind now?

I think this coming news shuold be big enough, otherwise AM2 didn't have to mention that couple days ago to make our attention. Some people think only JP players browse that website so it can't be anything relative with home version. However, if SEGA mentioned that notice in universal website which means they are going to publish console version for sure. I believe SEGA is going to give us a big surprise!!!

    Gotta love online Translators:

    Official VF homepage announcement:

    http://www.virtuafighter.jp/news.html

    translates to:
    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">
"Virtua Fighter5" from running the country, three years early.
Deep gratitude to the patronage of around
"Virtua Fighter5" We decided to implement three special anniversary!

Details are announced! Will sue you!"
    </div></div>

    Lols.

Seriously though, I'm praying it's at least some sort of online expansion for the home versions - like an online mode for the PS3.

Man.....stop. Stop with the VF5R console ponders. No.

If anything, it's probably just more items, or special themes. People can never have enough items. That's enough gratitude for an anniversary. Especially from Sega.

I remember like it was yesterday, we were all crying about wanting to be able to switch costume tops and bottoms and more DLC items.

That latest news post has no mentioning of the 3rd anniversary so I doubt it's related.

That's just a regular announcement for the bingo fest thing they do, it's nothing special. Just keep waiting.
