I kind of fucked up in the first round when I got the major counter knee and... I did d+P. To be honest I didn't even notice I got the major counter because on my screen, the transparent walls kind of blurred what I was seeing so I couldn't react in time.

Is the combo counter strictly for replays or a certain playmode? Or has that become the standard for Versus mode?

Great match against that Pai too. I've never seen that throw break that left Pai on the ground in round 4 lol.

Match wasn't anything special IMO, but I only played 2 matches last night and this was the first one I played lol.

I have joined the no pants revolution.

Match breakdown:

1st Round: First combo with b,f+P, P, f+P+K, P was kind of surprising because even though the slam is techable, I've never seen a lot of people tech it because it's a bit tricky, so it threw me off guard. This round was a lot closer than it should've been though...

2nd Round: I'm almost certain that he let me hit d/b+K+G to end the round.

3rd Round: After Pai's HCB+P+G I foolishly did a wakeup kick, which I need to stop doing a lot of times. There's so much damage sustained here whenever I do one but I guess it's just a force of habit for me. Speaking of force of habit, it's almost second nature for me to duck or straight out d+P Pai's f+P, K or Lau's f+P, P nowadays. Pretty nice although I wish I could capitalize on it better.

4th and 5th round: Uh yeah I got owned lol.

I don't know how I won this match at all. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif I felt that the Jacky player was a lot more aggressive in this match and overall played a better game than I did, but somehow I came out with a 3 - 1 win.

I say that the Jacky player's game was better because I couldn't read this guy at all. As Goh, I try to use 3P+K a bit more whenever playing against Lau, Jacky, and Akira because they tend use elbow-based attacks more than other characters. As you can see in this match I didn't land one sabaki during the whole match, and he landed a ton of elbows on me. In this respect he really outplayed me. I felt I was extremely lucky to have won the third round after tech rolling from 33P+G to avoid losing the round, and then having him evade after his whiffed b+K+G instead of just standing still.

match commentary....

round 1:
After Kage hit the first Shippu 2K, K I figured he was one of those assholes who would abuse the shit out of it lol. God I hate that move so much, and he tried doing it quite a bit in the first two rounds, which made him switch to 6P and other options instead.

round 2:
In hindsight, doing OM P and then following up with a throw was a pretty stupid move, especially because he was struggling. If he was a bad struggler that throw would've whiffed most likely. Luckily he did struggle out of it which allowed my throw to connect. I guess in those situations 66P+K or 66K might be a better option.

round 3:
After the first two rounds he started mixing up his Shippu moves which worked very well, I have to admit. He stopped after the first 2K was blocked, and that made me hesitate just enough for him to turn the tide. I'm kind of baffled as to how that slide came out at the end of the round though. Don't you need at least 3 steps for it to come out? Oh well.

round 4:
I lost this round because I was fucking around with 9K+G... that's all I can say lol.

round 5:
I don't know why this guy went back to Shippu 2K, K after he was so successful with his mixups in the third round. He pretty much lost the fight because he went back to that instead of sticking with what was successful.

I got an item that gives Goh scars and a piercing over his eyes. That was actually the second item I got that night... I also got a spiked bat for him too.

Remember that guarded shippu 2kk puts kage at -20f so you can probably get out more guaranteed damage then shldrm.
