Goh vids. Out of my three characters, Goh is probably my worst and weakest, so he definitely needs some help. If you see anything that I should avoid doing or anything that I need to do more of, let me know!

If I had only chose the jackhammer instead of the rock bottom to finish off the match.... argh. Anyone got any VS. Lau strategies with Wolf?

    My Wolf's 500th match

My Wolf's 500th match, hooray. This Jeffry that I played in Namba was probably the best Jeffry player I've ever had to go up against. His ability to delay strings was really good, and my god he was fast. Faster than any other Jeffry I've played against! He was #1 in Namba's Sega Avion in May and his record is something like 4000 - 1000 or something crazy like that. When I first went up against him, my Lion went 0 - 3, and so I switched to Wolf and won 4 straight against him. Then he won one against my Wolf and I switched back to Lion and lost another 2 matches. Really good series we had, and it showed me that even though someone's using a hoss of a character, they can still move about easily in the ring.

Good match. Even though it was two of the slowest characters in the game, it was a very past paced match. And I can see what you mean by those delays, I could imagine that that would be frustrating to defend against

There was a huge gathering of insanely high level players in Monte Carlo on Wednesday. I was totally shocked by it. 穴熊 (Anaguma)、ふーど (Fuudo)、and a top Wolf player were all there for some reason. This player is named 関西山王会 ハウル (Howl), and I actually saved this replay because a few days before, I was searching the VF5 community on Mixi and noticed that a user named ハウル (Howl) looked at my page because I posted about my great one-man team, 「NAVF☆北米」(North American VF), so I added him to my friends list and he added me. I think this may be the same person who I have on my friends list but he hasn't confirmed it yet. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

BTW, if you're wondering, Fuudo was not playing his Lion at all. Actually, he used his Jeffry the entire night.

Thanks! I don't think it was a great great match (omg at me missing f, f+K,K after that throw, ugh) but hey, I beat him! Even though he came back and beat me twice afterwards. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I think Fuudo also has the golden tag, although I'm not sure who else has it. In the Versus Screen, finalists for any tournament have that tag on their characters as well.

New Version C Promo Replay Matches

Latest match vs. Pai. Also shows a new VF.net feature where you can add your promo video and intro to your replay matches. These intro promos were only shown on the VF.tv screens previously, so it's good that they actually made them an option for VF.net. Most people don't know about them because they weren't in the PS3 version.

    Edit: One more match.

Last video for VF5 from me for a long time. I've canceled my premium account so I can't take videos as easily anymore. I usually only played once or twice a week, but nowadays I haven't even gone to the arcade, so there's no point in me paying 800 yen per month for the privilege of saving replays.

Nice match dude. I liked the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif against the rising attack at the end of the 2nd round.

Thanks for sharing your matches with us, and your improvement over time has been noticeable!

I purchased a one month premium account again since I've been going to the arcades more often recently, so here are the first two vids.

Me vs. Goh (Anaguma, one of the stronger players in Japan)

Me vs. Hot looking El Blaze

My play fell off a lot over the past two months that i haven't played so it's going to take a while to get back up to speed...

Duno if you chose to put up matches that didn't make you look so bad, but you don't look so bad for claiming your "play fell off a lot".

Thanks for sharing, fun matches to watch.

    I tend not to put up "bad" matches because people (and myself) can't learn from them, so in a sense, yes, I put up matches where I don't look very bad because I can't learn anything other than how fast I can get my ass kicked. :p I mean, it's better to put up a match where I lose 2 - 3 and actually has flowcharts/combos that people can pick up compared to a match where I win or lose 3 - 0 and it's just a straight butt kicking. I had better matches than the ones I put up, and a lot of times I'll put up matches where I've lost because people can point out mistakes easier too. I put up the Blaze video because his costume was cool though lol. That also factors into whether I'll save a match or not ^^;

    vs. Kyasao

Latest video. You may be wondering "why the hell is he saving a replay of a 6th Kyu??" but watch the video and you'll know why. It's no ordinary 6th Kyu. This is actually Kyasao playing on his friend's Lion card. This is done all the time in Monte, so you may be playing, say, Fuumin the player who is using someone else's card. I don't mind the practice at all but sometimes it's misleading because you'll be playing someone who you think is one level and then find out that they're actually much better/worse than their rank indicated. Sadly enough, Kyasao's Lion is far better and more entertaining than mine. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

fyi, if you're wondering, I lost 2 - 3 to his Lion with my Goh and then won 3 - 2 here with Wolf, and then he went back to his card, playing as Kage. I was gonna save the Goh fight (he had slightly better flowcharts and all that) but I pressed PKG too late and it didn't save. I wanted to play his Kage but he was playing at one machine against a whole bunch of other people.
