    Next: Pai and co...

Those moves are called "combo starters" simply because they do just that. If the move doesn't start a combo (i.e. - [2][P]), then there's nothing to worry about, just punish and flowchart away. If however it does start a combo (i.e. - [6][K]), then followup with any combo of choice (although maximum damage seals the KO deal). I hope I answered your question as best as possible. If not, please elaborate...

Yeah I got you now, sorry for the late response but I was held back..... I like the progress btw keep up the good work, when it's all done I'm going to actually be using these because it looks like it's a pretty handy reference.

a quick thing with jeff punishing lau: it's actually more to your advantage to block 6k+g and punish than duck and punish. I think it's to do with distances & easier timing, but when guarding you can do a bounce combo and while ducking it doesn't come out 100%.

are there any other instances where an alternative defence might up jeffs punishment options/damage?

Personally, I don't even bother with trying to duck under [6][P]+[K] against Lau. I always feel that I'm to far away to do anything, and going low can sometimes mean getting hit with [9][P] and a heavy combo afterwards. I've never seen the move get punished in a Jeffry vs Lau match either. There are many Lau players who train their opponent to duck, so if you were to duck under that move, proceed with caution.

On a side note, playing online can mean that some moves/options are more effective than others, like Lau spamming [6][6][P][+][K]. I'm not saying that it works all of the time or that its the be all end all strat for him, but certain moves like that get 'beefed up' online. So with that mindset, when I do try to punish certain moves, I'll try something simple like [P][K], but if its a move I know I can punish easily whether its online or not, then I'll go for the correct move to punish. You can't always count frames effectively online imo... I'll gladly renounce that statement if someone proves me otherwise.
