Ggs to hydra kid (lau) beautiful play cuz! That crouch back dash had me freezing all day (just let me get close yo) lol! Gd stuff, i gotta find a way to add it to my game. Ggs to alucardii an that crazy blaze (your blaze is taking ped's lol), ggs piccolo an that crazy pai lol, ( pretty gd guessing games), omni stalgic an that (pokey safe lion) gd stuff, an ggs to nephilim! Last night ggs to kishin! (to be as new as you are to vf, its crazy how well you understand your characters) gd stuff cuzo! Ggs to shidosha! U kept it live in there lol, plus i needed some exp against that taka! Loving the jeff, but im trying to see whats up wit that pai next time lol. Ggs black G, exzetyxat1 loving the kage! You should use Lau's + when you feel a throw coming on. When you get knocked down and your opponent dashes in and goes for that rush down grab, make them eat that overhead kick and they'll chill.

I don't play Lau, but that's one of the moves I would try using as a read for throw happy opponents.

 

U would beat throw, but if they rush in and attack, you have basically floated yourself. Just stand jab or use 1 P+K (beats high attacks, throw and floats for followups). Or do the usual dodge throw escape.

 

It's a risk, but from the matches I've watched Digi play, he eats a lot of throws after being knocked down. I'm not saying do it every time, but that move is good at punishing throws and lows.

It's all about guessing right. From what I saw, he could have used that move a ton in his matches. Another time it should be used is when he gets a knockdown and his opponent does a sweep attack on wake...

 

GGs to futubaaoi, Hydrakid, and more or less everyone else i played today. i say more or less because i ran into a spammy Lei-fei with a bad connection. not a bad game to him, since i won in three rounds, but MG (meh game, yes i'm coining that term)

 

I'd like to say just because I don't post every waking day about GGs and all that doesn't mean I don't appreciate all the games i had thus far. Particularly, most of Raze-'s sessions when it doesn't try to DC me (SEGA doesn't like Sailor Moon apparently). All the fellow Aoi's whose mirror matches make my damn head spin. Shidosha and his clownin' (oh wait, he was mic-less lol). Animelord and his Jacky-Pai, Elite and his awesome fashion sense. Genzen, cause we all know how much you LOVE Aoi and Eileen. Finally most of the folks in Ranked who aren't Blazetwist or BlackBeltSpartan. Thanks for the matches everyone and Raze: keep feeling the love man

GGs Omnistalgic, I like your Lion. It's obvious you come from another fighting game(s) since you have good yomi, spacing, mixups etc but seem to have trouble with VF's throw system. I heard you talking about breaking throws on reaction which you cant really do in this game since they are too fast. Instead you need to have your throw escape already held while you are guarding (look for lazy-TE, there's a lot of info on this site) or if you are feeling like the opponent will definitely throw then just toss out your big launcher to beat it.

Sorry bout the ring outs, was probably annoying you but that's my best throw anyway and once I land it then it's kinda dumb not to go for the win.

 

ggs to players in rank...and GGS to koenraku, nice kage, showed me just how weak I am defensively and with throw escapes, I have to work on it, I have the feeling the matches would have been much closer if I wasn't so weak with throws...tks man...

Great games man! Tks for compliments, but yeah, I'm used to reaction throws from SF4, but it shouldn't be too hard of an adjustment in this, just gotta keep playing peeps more like you. And yeah, it was only annoying cuz I kept getting hit by it, one thing I leaned about VF is, there's really nothing cheap. Everything you think is cheap, usually isn't safe, and gives you a free punish once you figure out how to block it.

Good games to Koenraku, Genzen, Raze--, Nomas_Tomas, and VFnumbers! Very hot room, and just the right size. It would've been cool if Koenraku and Genzen could have hung out for longer, but dems-the-breaks. I'm feeling more comfortable introducing more pokes into my gameplay, but I was also relying too heavily on 2P and 2KK, tonight; still, I was feeling the cogs in my head turning, and that's why I'm lucky to be on you guys' buddy lists.

I've said it before, but, if not for being able to play such friendly, strong players, I'd be bored with VF by now, but striving to level up my game so that I can show it off to people whose opinions and approval I care a lot about keeps the game super-fresh every day.

GGs to you and all who were in your room, I had a great time! Hopefully the matches after my connection improved (I had been downloading some FS videos in the background that I had forgotten about, completely my fault) made a point that execution hardly bears a difference to me lag or not. Practice helps. If anyone still has any "suspicions" *cough*Dollomite*cough* feel free to message me for some matches and I'll gladly abate them. Still, I had a great time and Dollomite's comments had me rolling (especially when Shidosha came into the room) with laughter. Great room, looking forward to the next session ^^!

nice matches in ranked today... I had a slight level-up in skill but it was short lived once I faced strong guys like Bilal, Chamame, Truewisemen, and Gentlementhief & Salam_aleykum...I seriously have to get TE down, they are raping me! lol...

Once I'm able to compete with them, I think I'll be satisfied, and just play player matches/room matches exclusively, but having them as targets in rank is a good challenge for me. interestingly, you can kinda sort the good players, from the really good ones (usually) if you check out people's rank and see how many battle points it took them to get there. all those guys I just mentioned are in the top 25 on PSN, but most don't have over 5000 points, meaning they kicked a lotta booty quickly! That's what I want, I'm coming for you!!!!

 

good games to bilal, darkssoul, nomas, unicorn, and bluesummers. had fun minus the stuff that occur but looking forward to next time. omni had no idea you from here sorry forr my rank habit.​
