GGs to Koen's room today. Raze, Nomas, Kamais, Vencabot.

Kamais, I don't think the connection issues we were having were strictly on your end - there were still problems after you left, though they did seems to lessen up. Not sure what the deal was there.

The deal is that psn sucks. I've never had these issues before on xbl and probably never will, it's way smoother for me than shitty psn.

GGs to those in Kinshin's room earlier in the evening. Shidosa, Kinshin, dollomite, RAwshik, and someone else I'm forgetting.

Also, gg to Brittboys for the Sarah set. Always love those...

Thanks for the invite, Elite! Good games to Koenraku, Genzen, Raze--, Nomas_Tomas, Jaidin, and BeastyEG! I did a lot of experimenting, tonight, with some encouraging results, although, as usual, I over-used the attacks that I was trying to learn. I was spamming Bokutai even more than usual, today, maybe as therapy because of how VFnumbers has been shutting me down when I try to use it, haha... maybe as a farewell-party, since I'm glad that the people that I'm lucky to play with so often are leveling-up to the point that they're punishing me for entering it so damn often, as it should be. I need to start experimenting with playing a Pai that stands up and only enters Bokutai occasionally, when I can catch my opponent off-guard.

I might be around, later on, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if I could have as much fun as I just did!

GGs to all the guys in the room earlier and sorry I was kinda flakey at the start and didn't get to play much. Also, sorry to MFB for screwing up your invite, had shit going on at my place and I kept forgetting when I got back.

Ah, forgot to thank Vencabot for the quick tutorial on Pai's low-punch-into-stance thing - very helpful to know I can attack more frequently out of it.

Hmm...I think I played some of you guys online before....So this is where you fellas lurk around? Glad I found this forum, tired of getting my butt kicked by strings -_- lol

Having a lot of fun with Lion though, toss up between him, Jacky, and Jean on who I main. I also find vanessa to be tremendously scary and aggressive, don't know how to stop her yet.

Anyway, gg's to anyone I've played....

Thanks for the matches, Kamais! I never feel as smart playing VF as I do when I play you, even when I'm getting my ass handed to me over and over again, and even if my hands don't always do the clever things that I might have had in mind, haha. I really think that it makes me a lot stronger each time, so thanks for batting me around for a bit!

    Good games!

Good games to VFnumbers, Raze--, animelord79, BeastyEG, Nomas_Tomas, and Tiripsm. Thanks for inviting me; it's always a blast to play with you guys.

I think that, lately, my punish game has been what's been killing me the most: when I block an attack, I almost never box back. Instead, I'll go for a throw or, if I think that an attack is launcher-punishable, I'll go for a launcher. I think that people are starting to realize that they can abare on me really badly, because I always want to go for that throw when I block an attack; basically, in my mind, the ends of all strings are throw-punishable, and that obviously isn't the case. Not only do I need to learn to better-punish attacks that ARE throw, small launch, big launch, or even PK punishable, I need to learn when I ~can't~ punish and how to react in those situations... probably with an elbow or some other fast mid to keep my opponent from abare'ing so that I can at least scare them into guarding into my throws, again.

Basically, I'm virtually free for an opponent that will abort a string or use strings with safe finishes and then continue their assault with a fast mid. At worst, I'll get counter-hit during a slow-ass reprisal (probably my 3P) or hit out of a throw. At best, I'll freeze up and continue to guard until I'm pushed out of the ring or against a wall, or hit with a low that staggers.

Next on my to-do list! Thanks for the matches, you guys!

I have to adjust faster to how people are fighting me too I knew how the people were going after me and I just stood there and took it oh well things happen. I especially impressed with Vencabot in how he adjusted to minimize the moves that I usually look for to punish him for and covered up that big opening I look for. I will have to do better though you still do the obvious stuff I look for you adapted well enough to keep me off of you enough to where I couldn't take advantage of it easily.

The room was fun as always especially with BeastyEG talking with us too while we fought it was great that was for sure.

Everybody's got their off-nights, and I'm sure that being distracted by learning a new character didn't help, even when you switched back to Lei; that sort of thing can jumble your mind. Funny how your 'poorly' is still enough to kick 99% of players asses up and down the block, haha. I'm sure that you'll be back to your old self in no time!
