Good games to everyone in steelbaz's room yesterday afternoon-to-evening. I'm not quite at everyone's skill-level, but it was a fun learning experience. Hope to play with you all again.

Also GGs to Truewiseman in ranked. Kinda getting the hang of what Vanessa can do I think, although some of that defensive stance stuff still confuses me. At least I finally found a move that the tranny elbow of death (TEoD) doesn't sabaki. Also you lose points for your Vanessa looking like Anne Robinson.

Thanks to Koenraku (Elite) for taking me on for so long in Ranked, today! I put off this post because I expected to play a little bit more, tonight, but I didn't get around to it, and that's well-enough, because I'll be able to play better, tomorrow, with some rest, tonight.

I don't get enough practice with Wolf, Lau, or Kage, so it's great that you were down for playing with me for so many matches. You know, it seems like I, "don't get enough practice," against a lot of characters, lately, but I think that the reality is that I'm lucky enough to fight so many good players with such a variety of characters that it seems like I'm far from perfecting my match-ups against any of them in particular, haha. I mean, when I fight lower-level players as any character, I never think, "Oh, I need more practice against that character," because I'm seeing strings and attacks that I recognize at the rhythm that I recognize them for. When that same character is played by an awesome player, though, I feel like my unfamiliarity with any character but Pai really gets the best of me, because they're disguising so well when their strings are ending, they're utilizing the benefits of their stances, they're canceling, etc. It does get to the point that, without a lot of first or second-hand experience with a character, it can seem like an awful lot to take in and makes me feel as though I don't fight any character enough, but that's one of the many things that I love about this game, and that's one reason that a player can play this game for so long and consistently improve over time.

I'm always down for player matches so don't be afraid to ask if you see me around. Maybe you should pick up a character you don't yet understand as a sub since you only use Pai atm. Can't hurt. GGs.
