Dillinjer668 and I have a nightly tradition in which he challenges me once, loses and ducks me the rest of the night. He's never pulled on me (probably because I'm not in his rank group) but tonight he got upset in the final round of our match and jumped out of the ring. Try as I might, I don't think I'll ever understand people like him.

quite sad, got a match with someone at a higher rank than me. First warning sign was he was a Jacky player and dressed like a power ranger, I beat him 3-1 and he dc'd.

If you lose to Sarah you don't know how to evade and punish.

I simply suggested a tactic that I find works well on her. A strong grasp of the evade system and learning which direction to evade against her (when she is in flamingo, and when she is not) can change the match up dramatically.

You're probably at a level where learning more about Sarah and her Flamingo stance in general would also change things.

 

I don't know who you're talking about. That has definitely never happened to me in any of your rooms.

 

I believe that you evade towards her back when she's not in Flamingo Stance but you evade towards her front when she is. ECD works really well against Sarah, so evading her is a pretty good option. If you guard her Flamingo Stance she's at nitaku, and both attacks are high so crouching is an option.

Also, people complain about how I can interrupt Flamingo Stance a lot. It's because they don't realize that I can just after I guard and . They're both pretty bad ways to enter into Flamingo Stance. The best Sarah players can do in this situation is sweep. After that you should recover because she can combo from it even on normal hit.

Framewise, FL isn't respectable if Sarah's not at least +4/+5. But even then, backdashing outright beats most of her options. Sarah will have to use FL P or K to stop backdashes.

 

Like most things in this game you can't get predictable with it.

FL 6K and FL 6K+G also catch backdashers, and lead to pretty heavy punishment.

And for all of you saying that sidestepping is sarah's weakness: what happens when she delays? Or goes into FL Step to force a failed evade? Like Akira and a few others, beating Sarah requires you to be knowledgeable of what she can do, and paying attention to your opponent's patterns.

Sarah needs to guess right twice and the round is over...
