It's been awhile since I've played Phoxx, but apparently he's still good with Shun. So I'd add him.

Badness from Bad Girl 69. They beat me the first round whilst I figured out their rubbish online Pai tactics and constant rising low sweeps. I won the next three, and was awarded a hatemail message calling me spammy and saying I suck.

Sorry your 2KK didn't win you a free meal this time. It's okay though, 'cos you're not just any girl; you're 'bad', and you're even so bold and daring as to put '69' in your name. I'm sure you made yourself feel better by smoking under the bleachers and spray-painting your name on a wall somewhere.

EDIT: I will go on to say that we play a number of matches afterwards and I think the scored ended up around even (I might have been a bit behind), mostly because I fell for one silly thing repeatedly (my fault), but that still doesn't excuse the shitty hatemail.

 

I hate Shun. It feels like he has no hit box at all during certain moves and I get punished with CH no matter what. Also his juggles seem to go on forever. lol

 

The same thing happened to me back when she didn't know ANYTHING. She was a destroyer with absolutely no tactics aside from backing herself into a wall for that back throw 9KK shenanigans. A couple hatemail exchanges and ragequits later she ends up on my friends list...

She doesn't really know much now. It's just a few high-rewarding exploits carrying her to some wins. Nothing inherently wrong with that; it's just unskilled and wouldn't work offline or even against someone more conditioned against fighting her character. My issue is only the hate-mail. People can play how they want, but having a few online tactics that they just recycle and then having the audacity to call someone else spammy and saying they suck... just doesn't fly with me.

 

I play Shun, he's my main actually and I play him with two accos. It's nice to know no one has mentioned my train wreck at least for weeks. Now I know I must train a lot more.

I find Shun perhaps the ultimate trickster in this game (because of some strong DP moves), but the ranked does its best to destroy his reputation as a great tactical character. Not much his better moves like 6K / 46P+K frame traps, 46P / 4P launchers, intelligent drink management/abuse game, 236P usage etc are abused online. Also, some of the blame must be on his opponents, as all his normal stance moves can be evaded to front other than 9P+K and 1KK, which are not dangerous (but 1KK sure is meant to be annoying as hell, it's just it's payoff is mediocre). Figuring this out forces an intelligent Shun to mix up stance changing moves and delay attacks to keep opponent guessing more.

It's a continuum really and I enjoy the constant micromanaging and the involvement a more tactical Shun requires. Some Shuns seem to get without farming to pretty good ranks with relatively brain dead mindset which can be seen as good and a bad thing too. They just exploit the laziness of his opponents, as a lot of his spammage can be destroyed easily. (and they abuse lag, but all do that!).

BGs to Afatmansjourney. We kept going back and forth in our matches so I thought it was cool the way we were balanced but then he sent me hatemail saying that I "abare like a retard" and that lag is ruining his game. Kind of ironic that he would say I abare like a retard when he himself abare's like mad. Anyway, watch out for that guy.

 

I also played him a lot yesterday. We were evenly matched, trading wins for probably 20 or 25 matches. He had no modesty though, sending me a few messages with a bad attitude, calling me a scrub, etc.

 

Bad games to brendandestiny. He played using the usual laggy Jean tactics; jump back 46K+G all day. After beating him he called me a cheater for juggling and sweeping.

 

HE doesn't ragequit, but he is a little punk who uses lag tactics and runs from anyone who can beat it, or gets one win then refuses to play again. Avoid unless your other choice is one of the known boosters/ragers.

Yep pretty much. l remember like 3 months ago i fought him. He was using lag tactics with lion. l lost because i was off my game but then i try to run it back. Guess what? he ran. The guy's not good anyway he's not worth the time. Dont worry about him.
