seriously though, i'm going to take a break from this game (probably only a day or two). i can't seem to get anything going.

I'm just wondering, how BBS could earn so high rank. It's just as big mystery for me as Bluebird project.. I don't think beating begginers could help him rank up, so with who is he winning, lol

Is TUCHMYBALLS6699 any good? He refuses to play me. I've tried to challenge this guy for months even back when he was like a Warrior and Assassin ranks, but he always backs out. Now he is a Dragon Heart with almost 24,000 BP. My guess is he is not that good, but just has a lot of times on his hands to grind on noobs.

Anyone play him or knows why he won't play me? I wouldn't be surprised if he just avoids all the good players. He probably has a list next to the console of who to avoid lol.

 

Your assumption is correct. I don't know of anyone (atleast from this site) that has actually played him, yet I know alot of peeps have tried to challenge him. He seems to refuse anyone's challenge that is above a certain rank.

I have buddy who is ranked Raider, TuchMyBalls6699 has accepted his challenge twice I think. My buddy isn't the best player in the world, but could easily smoke this guy.

So, yea, he's simply trying to pick off scrubs.

Yea I'm not trying to give him a bad name, because he does play and doesn't seem pull on people. I just find it weird that since the beginning he will not play me, so I wanted to know if it was just me.

I wonder what will he do when eventually lower ranks don't do anything much to raise your bar? Will he actually start accepting challenges from decent upper rank peeps or will he continue to grind thousands of matches (possibly 10,000 from Storm Lord onward) on scrubs?

Excactly what shidosha said, repeating setups and canned combos, challenges low ranks himself, like me for example, but he ain't no good

Will play anyone, hit me up! Trying to get out of this Warrior/Veteran/Berserker bracket, but need to work on my fuzzy guarding, throw breaks, and playing more safe in general.

Rodney, he wouldn't play you or anyone decent because he's a ducker! He got up there by ducking since he was Assassin or something. It proves that BlackBeltSpartan was wrong all along: Ducking >>>>> DC. But yeah, I wouldn't say BGs either, he is free to pick his matches like some other people.

Pana, he's forced to play high-ranked players now because he wouldn't even get points from Avengers. I recently played Cha-mam3 and his ranking bar didn't even budge after beating my Avenger alt.

He'll probably have to stop playing if he wants to save his rank/position now, he's about to be demoted as far as I think. He had 15% of ranking bar left when he challenged me last night.

Konrad, BBS prefers challenging high ranks players because he wouldn't technically lose any match. Even high-ranked players can be beaten online once in a while, that "one" match will give him a lot of ranking bar. But yeah, it's much more time consuming. Ballz did it just under two weeks and reached #1 with the highest rank.

Just as a reminder, STOP PLAYING BLACKBELTSPARTAN!

 

Bad games to all cherry-pickers, even if I don't technically get games with them; they fight with no honor if they pick on less-experienced players for the sake of ranking up or any other reason. They fight with no honor if they won't accept an honorable challenge from somebody their own rank, and that's enough for me to spit on them, whether or not they can play.

Semi-bad-games even to high-ranking players that sit in Ranked and won't accept challenges from players that are lower-ranked than them. Although I can sympathize with this mindset more (fighting too many beginners can make you start to feel weak, maybe you don't want to miss the one opportunity that a higher-ranked opponent shows up), unless you're in the middle of some heated run-backs with another player or unless the connection quality isn't up to your play standards, I think that handing beatings to all challengers is being supportive to the community; if they want to see what higher-ranked players fight like, show 'em. If they need to have ridiculous habits beaten out of them, do it. If they ask you for advice, give it -- better than acting aloof and refusing challenges from those that you deem unworthy. So much of my love for this game and my affection for this community comes from when I started out and had my challenges accepted by some hard-assed veterans that were friendly enough to play with me and treat me like I had the potential to be more than a scrub -- like I was somebody worth their respect, at any play-level, if only because I loved the same game.

Finally, semi-bad-games to players that don't accept challenges from higher-ranked opponents. I, personally, don't believe in challenging lower-ranked opponents (I'll let them challenge me, if they please), but, still, I've heard of players refusing to play against higher-ranked opponents because they don't feel like being beaten. If you're a Hunter, or something, and some cherry-picking Avenger challenges you, take him on and show your stuff, and elevate your game so that he can't prey on you any more. If it's a quiet moment in Ranked and you're challenged by a higher-ranked opponent just because nobody around their own rank is online, humor them and show what you can do -- maybe they'll end up being the one that humors you when you kick their ass.

Basically, no respect for players that sit in Ranked and won't take on all challengers, with a few exceptions. No respect for players that prey on lower-ranked players. For everyone else in Ranked, good games, whether you're a beginner or a player that makes ~me~ feel like a beginner.

Nice post man I actually play and challenge everyone I see regardless of level, I figure I just started playing in July, so I'm technically a noob no matter what my rank says, so I just try to kick everyone's arse '-)...btw I beat "suckmyballz" yesterday on PSN, he's like Storm Cloud or something, thought I was gonna get owned, but he just seems to know lau's most damaging combos, didn't seem very skilled...but only played him once so who knows...
