I'll bet money that Dural's unlockable somehow!

Also, having seen her in action, I can say that the grey/stone Dural looks creepy as fuck. The combination of her featurelessness plus the color is really disconcerting. Gives me shivers.

Yeah, there are far too few Dural vids online from VF5, aside from that one vid from Ogikage (I think) where he fights her with Shun. She'd be cool to control, so I really hope you can use her in other modes than VS and VFTV.

I hope my cheap trick with Shun works against the A.I. of Dural (itw worked in VF4 and VF4evo)

    repeat Lying Down: K, P, d+K, K

this always gets AI Dural :p

With VF5 coming out soon, how come there's not a playable demo on playstation store. Lucky I'm a big fan of VF series, else I wouldn't buy a game without playing it first. I mean with games costing 60 bucks, you want to know if it doesn't suck...like Full Auto 2, which I was able to take back.

Dural reminds me just a bit too much of Alpha from DOA4. Sure, Alpha stole Durals overall look, but now it seems like Dural is stealing Alpha's crap-ass ability to fly and do 100-hit juggles.

But I'm really curious to see the "invisible" dural in action. From that screenshot, she looks more like she's made of water now, rather than just invisible. While the "predator" look from Evo was cool, I think the more tangible look of VF5 dural is much nicer.

Alpha was a straight out RIP of Dural: female, transparent/metallic, boss who has an amalgamation of everyone's moves except turbo charged. It's not just stealing the "overall looks."

I just read this on NCSX. That is strange...

Furthermore, please note the VF 10th Anniversary bonus disc is a Japanese PS2 game CD-Rom which will only play on Japanese PS2 or PS3 consoles. It won’t boot on a USA Playstation 3 or a Playstation 2

Not so strange. PS3 games are region-free, PS2 games aren't. It's a Japanese-only release; US gamers got their VF1-style VF4 games (that's what it is) as a bonus with VF4 Evo, I think.

The one thing I really want to know about the ps3 version is- is the AI any good? Due to the fact that there are about 12 people within a 500 mile radius that ever play vf, I play vf evo against the AI a lot. In evo I think its pretty good can anyone confirm vf5s AI is similar?

Its just about on par with EVO's AI maybe less. When your going through quest make sure you have it put to hard difficulty setting.

Also regarding dural to unlock her you must complete arcade mode with every character (YOU DONT HAVE TO DEFEAT DURAL)

Who cares about ending movies?! I don't play VF for the electron-thin excuse of a story.

Financing PS3+VF5+Stick aside (I saw VF5 + Hori at a shop today *drool*), I'm more concerned about linking up with the few serious VF players locally to get my beginner's rear end kicked over and over again in VF5 ...

Seriously, when VF5 debuts in earnest, will VFDC create a list of hardcore VFers willing to host gatherings at their places? I don't care if they treat me like *beep*, as long as I get to watch them duke it out in realtime.

I don't know if I'm getting better or the AI in the default Arcade Mode is easier for VF5, but I'm getting through to Dural no problem. I'm facing the Stone version at the end.

Will it ever be possible to legaly import Japanese version of VF5 to europe ? Play asia says its impossible - will it be after euro release of the game ?
The reason is that since you can turn on commentary during matches not only replays I would like to have a version with japanese comment which is great and english one is not as good ...(it sucks /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif )

Shit, looks like chilling effects from the Lik-Sang fall out for Euro Sony importers :\

I think NCSX (www.ncsx.com) will still ship Sony stuff to Europe, but I'm not sure - you might want to drop them a line and check. Or try the ones Jeneric mentioned.

If worse comes to worse, can't EU players wait till the US release and purchase from the states? I understand this makes you wait a bit longer, but should be an option yeah?

Just to start by saying hi to everyone as my first post /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

NCSX ship to europe, Ive ordered mine with them (Im in UK) but missed out on the sticks (Ive ordered one from Play Asia but its stuck like a lot of peoples in processing).

Ive got a sort of newbie question really. I played VF series up to 4 alot on consoles (PS2, DC etc...) but I had a coma after VF4 so my memory isnt great anymore and Ive lost a lot of long term stuff in last 10yrs, I was wondering if the black book is a good idead for me to get if its easy to understand for commands for non JPN language readers to have next to me or should I just use the guides off here and get a Brady one as Ive got to relearn all my Jacky moves again as forgotten (or should I move onto Lei Fei when I start over?). Im looking forward to learning VF again and these offensive/defensive attacks sound great.

Just like to say great website as well, this will come in very handy!

    Thanks for advice Zero-chan, Jeneric.

NCSX is quite good, faq says they ship to europe, but their prices are little bit biger /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif They do not have SEGA Virtua Stick High Grade I hope its just temporary - 2 things at once = less shipping cost.(or would you recommend HORI Real Arcade Pro Stick - it looks substantial..?)
