Main Quest: Accrue 15 total wins

4. Defeat a certain character 1 time...choice seems to be random

Club Sega Bay Area
Main Quest: Defeat 50% of the opponents in the area

2. Hit the evade+P+K+G attack 10 times
3. Defeat 2 of a certain character...choice seems to be random
4. Stagger opponent 1 time
5. Throw your opponent 8 times

Good stuff Plasma. BTW, the main quest at the Club Sega Plant Area is to complete 4 of the sub-quests. Also, the win w/o dodging quest requires you to not only not dodge any moves but also not to sidestep at all.

 

Ok, here are the first 5 sans 1 for SAM. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif I managed to get 5/10 of sub-quest 1 but had no idea how I was doing it. Also, if anyone has tips for winning a round in 10 seconds with Kage, please share. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sega Arena Midtown

[QUEST MODE]------------------------------------------------------
The Quest mode is an enhancement of the Kumite mode in the
previous VF game. The player not only just fight opponents that
join in the game, but also complete "quest orders", or mini
quests, and join official and back-alley competitions. The player
wins items and money from these, and the money can be used to
purchase a variety of items, including accessories to dress up
the character, old and new win poses, and even videos.

Basically, this is how the Quest mode works.

Ugh...that throw escape quest is going to take forever. Anyway, here's my in order list of what I've accomplished so far in Uptown...

Sega Arena Uptown

Main Quest: Collect 10 VF character emblems

Sega World North:
Main Objective:
Overthrow the 3 best players in this arcade

I think it's been explained before, but since I'm in a good mood right now, I think I'll help you anyway. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Certain moves, if blocked, will put the user at a bad frame disadvantage. Throws execute in 8 frames, so if you opponent is disadvantaged by at least 8 frames after you blocked an attack, you are guaranteed a throw (unless it is escaped of course).
So look for these situations and throw your opponent.

 

Sega World East:
Main Objective: Beat the 7 best players in this arcade

One of the requirement in this Sega World which I believe is that you have to beat your opponents using less than 24 moves. I am not sure if this is correct but I managed to clear this quest doing less moves and it work. You have to do it 10 times. Not sure if 24 moves is the correct number.

 

Cool. I just discovered that the first sub-quest (for sega world east) is to win 10 matches without losing a round. BTW, it doesn't have to be consecutive either. You can even lose a match and still continue. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

 

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before, but I've just unlocked a tournament called "AM2 Cup" in Event Square (after I won, I finally got Akira's beard /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif) . I have no clue what the requirements are for unlocking it, but it happened after I finished the first 5 sub-quests for Sega World South. BTW, I also completed all the sub-quests for the first 2 arcades, so maybe the requirements for unlocking the secret areas have something to do with total # of sub-quests completed. /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif I'm still trying to figure everything out.....

 

Re: Hyper Battle Mode, etc. unlocked!!

Ok, just unlocked "Venus Cup" and "Ultimate Battle". These are both filled with high ranking players. In Ultimate Battle, I fought Chibita, Kyasao, Tsuchikumo, etc. I definitely think these secret areas have something to do with # of sub-quests unlocked. The weird thing about these tournaments is they dont allow you to save any of the replays. /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Edit:
After I won "Ultimate Battle" it unlocked a new "Battle Mode" option!!!! This is the ?????? under the game settings menu (as I had originally thought).
