all I read on that site and this thread are OPINIONS.

Anyway, can't speak for ps3 since I don't have one. But XBL sucks and pc online games are always without a shadow of a doubt superiour when it comes to connection issue's, lag and stability.
I never managed to get a decent game 4vs4 game going in chromehounds because players can't connect to each other. Had this game been on a pc with a dedicated server for each game, Chromehounds could have been one smooth gaming experience.

Not only is it sales suicide as you put it, Microsoft imposes limits on the size of the stuff you can put as DLC. Granted they have made exceptions for a selct few games, but there is no guarantee of it.

I don't see much reason to believe sega would make the game exclusive to one console again when last time they pissed off a bunch of fans for deceiving us into thinking it was going to be console exclusive. Just release it for both systems like you're going to eventually anyway.

If they truly are going to be dicks about this I'm gonna stop playing VF cuz sega's being total A-holes. It's just not right to treat your fans like this. It's the only way I can protest such mistreatment.

As much as I would of wanted it I understand why FT never came out here and I don't blame them for not releasing that version. As for VF5R I been told we could be seeing an answer by Oct 9th at TGS if it will be released or not. I'm with Tricky on this one Sega treats the fans like dirt and knowing Sega it will be exclusive to one console. Then again we will be lucky to even see R come out at all

If R doesn't come out for consoles, then that's probably going to be pretty much it for me in playing fighting games.

After that, I'll probably end up playing games slowly in general, and just put other hobbies on greater priority than this.

I agree it would most def be my retirement not only from the VF series but games as a whole for the most part since VF is the main game I play anyway

I'd probably switch over to becoming more hardcore in my SF games since we have SFIV coming out for the 360 (I think ps3 too I don't pay attention to them cuz I don't have one) and the new VS title coming out too.

I really like VF tho please sega don't fuck us over more than the USA VF community already is.

After playing VF I've felt every other fighting game to be primitive and boring. If vf5r doesn't come out I don't see myself quitting video games for good, but probably playing them extremely casually and not caring too much. Even the newer stuff like sf4 is full of shenanigans and it just doesn't seem all that fun to me.

I guess the best way for me to put it, is that VF opened my eyes to how a real fighting game should be. Not to say there aren't problems with VF, but the problems are almost minuscule in comparison to other fighters.

IF vf5r does drop for console its not going to be exclusive that's for sure. We live in troubled times though we must be patient.. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

VF5R has yet to hit the 6 month mark at the arcades!Remember when we had to wait at least a full year+ for most arcade ports?Just give it a couple more months, theres gonna be some concrete news eventually.

Who knows. Ver. B was exclusive, Ver. C was also exclusive.

I think a better outlook is that Sega doesn't want to pay to produce copies for more than one console.

Concrete news? Well, there won't be anything "new" about it when this info actually does come out.

Earth will also be hit my a comet eventually, but you might be hard pressed to find people that are willing to wait long enough.

    Yup.

Dude, I really don't think they would fuck this up again after seeing NAMCO sell 2 million copies of SC4. If they do they're stupid as hell...

The multi-platform release means that all of the "viral" word-of-mouth shit out there is more effective because a PS3 owner can see that an XBOX360 owner is having fun with SC4 (from a forum post or whatever) and say, "I'll go get that game for PS3 since they have it for both consoles..."

Making any game exclusive, to one console or the other, isn't going to make it sell more. You pretty much ensure it will sell less. You're just hoping the premium you got for making it exclusive is big enough that you don't feel like you lost money by not making it multi-platform.

The problem is that it's not necessarily possible to do a multiplatform release. None of us have any clue what the dealings are like with either Sony or Microsoft. Both could be pushing for exclusive releases, if any at all. And, they'd pay for that right as well - something which translates into revenue that we don't see when we simply look at sales figures for a game.

Personally, I just don't see how this is anything remotely related to "Sega is fucking us over" or "Sega is not listening to the fan base". If 10000 fans are crying out with "Message A" and 150 are crying out with "Message B", who's going to get the love? Right. Sega's a business, and no doubt can make a decision that suits itself best. It has absolutely nothing to do with us.
