Ron Paul has now not only correctly predicted the recession, he's also predict Occupy Wall Street:

If you love Ron Paul so much why don't you just go live in his district?

Paul is really a crackpot on economics... but at least he is not a fascist. I have long been unhappy with Obama's subservience to Wall Street and the American War machine, but this Libya bullshit crosses a line. It's amazing how propagandized the US public is. Who would have thought that America's first black President would be widely applauded for slaughtering thousands of innocents while recolonizing Africa and destroying the continent's most prosperous society?

Warning - Graphic footage of Obama's war crimes:

you need to be clear what you are linking to. the content of that link might not be what some people want to see. I know I wasn't expecting to see that poor child and I didn't need to see him.

I can't see how he's a crackpot on economics when he did predict the recession back in 2002.

I hear you... I clicked on it myself without knowing what it was. The thing is, it's very fucked up how the propaganda machine conceals our gangster leaders' crimes from us. The media has always sucked, but at least during Vietnam the press made Americans face pictures like this:

Now we slaughter people by remote control and the media covers it up. And hapless Democrats boast about how Obama is much more savvy about the way he goes about murdering people.

Listen to Rachel Maddow at 3:25ish here:

    Libya explained in 10 minutes

And Tengu please stfu about Mussolini. He slaughtered more Libyans than Obama (though Obama's score is still getting higher).

Ok so I understand that you're upset about what Obama is doing in terms of wars, but do you honestly think the republicans would not be causing more wars? If someone like Obama was inclined to go to these wars that are upsetting some people here, do you really think a far more vocally pro-war McCain would not have pulled the trigger too?

Really people, it's not a matter of democrats vs republicans on some of the foreign war stuff people are complaining abou there, it's just american politics.

Do people hold Obama personally responsible for Wars and stuff like that? As i understand it, the president of the USA as presidents go, doesn't have that much power technically. For example, in the UK the prime minister, despite not actually being the head of state, can on his own declare war. As far as i know this is not something Obama or other presidents could do. Someone (american) fill me in.

Also, i keep hearing that Ron Paul predicted the crash. Does anyone have some literature on this? And is he predicting the 2nd crash that is likely coming in the next 18 months?

The American President is technically close to a Caesar at this point. He has command of the military. He is supposed to report to Congress after a short amount of time to seek authorization but this can be avoided now with minimal effort. For example, Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama managed to avoid seeking authorization for the ongoing slaughter in Libya by terming it a "kinetic military action."

And the President has Capitalism's Invisible Army at his disposal. The CIA has an infinite budget and can do anything it wants. Traditionally this has included assassination, drug running, torture, overthrowing governments, and all imaginable manner of gangster activities and worse.

And of course the Republicans are as bad (except maybe nutty Ron Paul who at least wants to end the wars and get rid of the CIA and Federal Reserve). The problem is not Obama; it is the power structure that essentially makes American democracy a silly formality while we are essentially ruled in a top-down manner as surely as in a dictatorship.

What does suck immensely about Obama is that he has killed domestic resistance to the global domination agenda. Democrats cannot wrap their mind around the fact that American foreign policy is just as murderously imperialist under a Democrat as under a Republican. At least there's Occupy Wall Street. Now the trick is to get everyone to realize that Wall Street has made minions of our leaders, the Pentagon, and the CIA. They comprise a huge part of the global capitalist gangbang that plagues the world.

The president can not formally declare war on his own, he can only use a comparatively small 'police force' to attack or defend an area, such as Libya. A formal declare of war is a much bigger deal and involves far more resources being available to the military force that is deployed.

So the long answer is, yeah he kinda can; but the short answer is no he can not declare full blown war (with all the bells and whistles that come along with that demarcation). There's a reason that USA's involvement in Libya was very muted and pretty much restricted to no troops on the ground.

Technically true, but the US has not declared war since WW2. Yes, some sort of Congressional authorization was given in most of our wars, but not in Libya at all. And there have been some NATO boots on the ground. It has all been done with much sneakiness: special forces from various countries, mercenaries, and of course arming the NATO/al qaeda Libyan Contras (in direct violation of UN resolution 1973).

Congress' power has been diminished in recent decades, but it hardly matters; Congress is owned as surely as the President.

The thing that makes me very wary of Ron Paul is that all of his biggest supporters who I've come across (online and offline) have all displayed some form of racism or bigotry.

They're usually the kind of guys that love to bash blacks and other minorities all while trying to uplift the "superior but oppressed white race"... lmao.

The funny thing is I used to like Ron Paul. I think he has some decent ideas... but then I started taking notice of his supporters and that kinda made me want to dig a little deeper into the man's past and I didn't even have to do a lot of digging to find some of the horrible things that he wrote and believes.
It's really too bad that he's a racist piece of shit [IMG]

His international policies are a little bit too similar to the plot in the movie V For Vendetta [IMG]

To Ron Paul defense (not his supporters) it wasn't him that wrote all those nasty things. All those racist comments were just found in his open newsletters so it was written by his supporters (most likely). I wonder however if Ron Paul knew about those comments made in his newsletter. Maybe, Maybe not

What exactly are you trying to say here because you're sounding more bigoted than usual and I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt.

I've been wondering this myself for a while... sometimes the same people who engage in conversation with someone who has brought up how colored folks are inferior (more than once) are black themselves! [IMG] I mean, the guy has even thrown out the N-bomb out there a bunch of times.

I can kinda understand if you're white and find his posts read-worthy or interesting... or if you have no life and are willing to sit there and watch hours of political youtube vids, lol... but still, what makes the same people who talk shit about him while he's gone, tolerate him enough to exchange banter in the shoutbox?
Me personally, I rather not talk directly to these types of people. Once they put forward any of their racism, bigotry, anti-semtism, or even homophobia... there's not much room for discussion. I don't have to be Jewish or gay to decide not to talk to a person who shows any hatred towards those groups.

Not too long ago the guy was calling people faggots and all kinds of crazy shit but yet, he comes across as not heterosexual at all... is it possible to be a homophobic homosexual?
I mean, I know he's a white Muslim teenager but some of the stuff he's written puts down Muslims too... Idk man, all I know is I made this thread back in '08 and I knew it could get ugly but it wasn't bad up until this year when it started getting spammed with Ron Paul and anti-Semitic propaganda.
Now I feel bad, and I was wrong. All of the vets who said that politics has no place here were right. I was wrong.
I hope this thread gets locked.

I respect all religions. I don't respect extremists. Whether Christian (like the crazy family that shows up at soldier's funerals) Jewish, or Muslim. I think those types of people should all be put away in some part of the world where they can all "co-exist" with each other... or kill each other, whichever comes first.
And in kill or be killed scenarios, I'm more than happy to kill those pieces of shit first before they kill me.

And since there seem to be a lot of "School Of Youtube" graduates here, here's a Youboob video:
