The real auvii the real cause of the economic situation is greed/stupidity in the markets and inaction by the government. Sure deregulation let some people get greedy, but the governmennt let it happen eveyone one in power right now is to blame really not Bill clintons administration. He's not an Andrew Jackson.

ACORN does nothing or at least not much, wrong. They pay people to collect voter reg. Some of those employees turn in cards with fake names on them to get paid. ACORN is required by law to turn in all reg forms they collect, and to notify authorities when that they believe they have suspicious ones (which they do).

These phony reg cards never turn into real voters on E-Day. Why do you think that there are virtually no cases of people getting arrested for trying to vote twice?

The GOP makes a big deal about ACORN so that they can justify harsher laws about ID requirements as well as challenges at the polls. The GOP makes a big deal about voter fraud SO THAT THEY CAN DO THINGS TO MAKE IT HARDER FOR DEMOCRATS TO EXERCISE THE FRANCHISE.

It is as simple as that. They are swine.

Remember the Fired US attorneys scandal? That was over the same shit.

    I agree with you.

I believe if there is even an ounce of truth in some sort of voter fraud or ballot manipulation it needs to be brought the public's eye and investigated.

I don't care who is doing the finger pointing, investigate it and find the truth.

Ok, ACORN isn't saying that it isn't. Matter of fact, ACORN are the ones reporting it.
Why would anybody "create" phony voter registration forms and then blow the whistle on themselves??? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif
There is obviously more than meets the eye here. That's why I don't understand why anybody would want to jump to conclusions that this is all ACORN's fault when Reps are known to be the richer, more powerful and ruthless of the two parties. It would only make sense that they would try to suppress minority and lower-class votes.
I'm surprised they haven't taken Obama out yet. I'm even more surprised that they haven't payed some Muslims or Middle-Eastern-looking people to show up to Obama rallies in traditional Muslim attire with big signs saying "Obama for Islam".
I personally wouldn't see anything wrong with that but Fox News would blow that up and prob claim that "terrorists" support Obama. I wouldn't put anything past them after that whole "terrorist-fist-bump" report.

Last election when Reps thought that they were going to lose they cheated and this year seems like they're shooting for it again but on an even grander scale.
Prediction: There will be a recount and McCain is going to win.

I can't believe that there are people out there that still don't see what Republicans are trying to do.
I'm not saying that Dems are perfect but this election Reps are taking shady politics to a movie-like level.
I hope that if they ever find out the truth, expose it and make a film about it; I'm still alive to see it.

Please provide the name of a person who voted twice. That is essentially the crime we are talking about when it comes to committing fraud, so please, if there is an epidemic of this, it should be easy to find the names of these criminals.

    I'll wait.

"Mr. Deters, who is the southwest Ohio regional chairman for the McCain campaign, said in an interview Tuesday that his office had received complaints about people voting illegally. He declined to identify the source of the complaints."

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122463327244056681.html

"Deters declined to give any specific evidence of voter fraud that would have triggered an investigation and local elections officials confirmed they received no reliable reports of voter fraud."

These situations are clearly not politically motivated at all. Just a case of a concerned public official doing his job, cause voter fraud is a crime, yknow. Purely coincidental that ohio is a swing state, or that newly registered voters are primarily democrats.</sarcasm>

Yep, sounds about right to me.

When did they think they were going to lose? It was the first election in decades since the Republicans won with an absolute majority.

Also the recount in 2000 was pushed by Gore and his party. In 2004 there was no recount, officially. It was done by a party member without the backing of Kerry.

Lol, ok, my bad, correction: there was no foul play in the 2004 election, I meant the 2000 election. And... I don't know what that last comment was about, I didn't say that Republicans pushed for a recount, I said that they will prob push for a recount if they lose this election.

Sorry guess I took your comment as thats what the republican party does. I really agree with your statement though, except I think no matter who wins the other party will pull the recount card. Its just the popular thing to do at this point.

...The vid, that dude is crazy and yeah NSFW lol! He tries really hard to be like that one comedian, umm something "Black". I cant recall his name. Hes the angry political comedian dude though.

A new low for a McCainiac.
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27350530

"Pittsburgh Police have confirmed that the story of a McCain campaign volunteer being attacked and having the letter "B" carved in her cheek was a hoax drummed up by the alleged victim."

Of course, before I even knew who was the make-believe alleged attacker, I took a guess...
"Police said Todd, who is white, told them she was attacked by a 6-foot-4 black man Wednesday night."
Of course it was a big, bad black man /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif Can you believe somebody would do that to themselves or allow somebody to carve their face for THAT?!
I can't even laugh at this... I can't even get mad, I just feel sad for this person and people like her /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
