There are two types of people in this world. Those who think online petitions are a waste of time, and those who think that however slim the chance, there's no harm lending their voice to the cause. VFDC user @cmase1989 has taken some initiative to start an online petition to let SEGA know that We want Virtua Fighter 6! It'll literally take you a few seconds to fill out if you feel so inclined. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?

So if someone asks "Why VF6? Why even VF?" what's the answer? If someone can put together a well stated opinion article tackling that question, maybe Shoryuken or EventHubs would be willing to throw it up on the front page. I'm sure they wouldn't mind an extra piece of free content just to fill space. Even if it just gets the typical FGC "your game sucks mine is better" treatment in the comment section, at least it means the conversation was raised. I'd be happy to help proof read or assist in any way I can, but since I'm not really a VF player (more of an enthused VF fan) I'd think it would have more credibility if a seasoned VF vet wrote it.

Maybe we should find out how much it costs to make the next next VF and raise
all or part of the money from the FG community. If every real VF fan put up $100
(I would gladly do that). Perhaps VFDC could become partners, for VF6 license and beyond.

Sega would probably not turn down $200-$500k budgetary help.,.

And if Sega has permanently closed the book on VF, maybe we can buy the license, and go open source ::confused:

If we get 50,000 players world wide to put up $100 well.....

No news or any (un)official info.
The man is talking about VF itself and about awareness of petition.

I think Virtua fighter fans has ruined ( got bored ) from patient , this was the longest period releasing new title from virtua fighter (over 10 years) has happened , i mean titles not versions because even versions were not released outside japan anyway i am really happy to see this step but not for "Those who think online petitions are a waste of time" because i see this petition as voice for VIRTUA FIGHTER FANS who really want to see virtua fighter 6 and seriously want it , this petitions is difference this other games petition in the last i also see SEGA care due their last announcements talking about quality and bring life old series ( most of them XD) , i see virtua fighter 6 not a hope but i see it as happening thing because i am sure we will play virtua fighter 6 i think we got enough whining about it all these years ( me the most XD) , i hope the quality that SEGA is talking about don't ruin the virtua fighter 6 like we don't want rage systems and stuff like this lol ( i am sure some people will like it )

Look how Shenmue 3 is finally in development with the huge kickstarter record in the history of gaming making SEGA to reconsider their decision.
It would be interesting to see Virtua Fighter 6 coming to light. The mechanic is so great it just needs refinement and up to date graphics and presentation by taking note from Namco.

Old time Virtua Fighter fan busy with real life.

After the Mighty No. 9 disaster in addition to other projects that have come up noticeably short and janky, I have 0 faith and credibility on Kickstarter backed projects and I'm absolutely 100% sure Shenmue 3 will bomb, you just can't make a game on such a grand scale with basically pocket money and a skeleton crew, so unless Sega really just doesn't give a crap anymore VF can stay out of that trash.

how about start a project in Kickstarter to buy the IP / licence from Sega to make a new VF game or Do a remake of Old VF games ?

I think the Graphic Quality of virtua fighter 10th anniversary (ps2) is already good enough ,

I think it can reduce the development budget and time, VF's game play is the best among fighting games, even without any HD texture.

Character customization is another feature also make it outplay all other 3d fighting game, but not necessary,
especially when compare with the stupid DLC from the DOA5LR of Koei Tecmo.
