If you were on PSN i'd get some matches in with you and trouble shoot. We have some very large rooms going on there all the time, you'd improve pretty quick imho. Just save the replays and check that frame data/habits and you'd be on your way [IMG]

I'm actually hoping to get another ps3 soon. So when I do, I'll take you up on that offer!

I never really thought about watching the replays as I always saw it as something you do to upload and show off on youtube. I'll have to look round the forum for info on frame data and start saving my fights from now on!

Yea save the reply then re-watch them with the frame data on, it will help ur game ALOT. You will be able to spot where you could have been able to punish and eventually you'll know what to do when you see the unsafe moves and strings.

Try to do some room matches on Xbox LIVE, see if MarlyJay or the other UK guys can help you out. It's a pretty friendly lot over there [IMG]

QFT! My time with you guys in the PSN rooms has helped uncontrollably with my bad habits. The replays of other great players that use Pai like KillaKen have given me new ideas on how to play her. Also, I suggest going into player matches or ranked matches (if you don't care about rank) and play those lower ranks to build on the problems you have.

For instance, I had a huge problem with dodging, launching and juggling people. After seeing some great juggles and learning how to dodge and punish in the dojo and from watching replays, I went into Ranked, played some people and worked hard on focusing on the right times to do those moves. It didn't take long for it to be built into my daily repertoire and improved my game even more! so get out there, find a group of people that give helpful tips (like Steelbaz, FlyMike and the sort) and really support the growth of your game.

Im not int position to advice anyone but what i do
is challenge the higher ranked players.
Than after you gained some advanced matchup knowledge
"HUNT" your ranked alikes. You will see that your reflexes
will be better. The only downside is that in this way you will
advance through the ranks slower as your defeats will be more
than your victories. But the satisfaction of your wins will
    sweeten the deal.
I got alsmos past the Defender rank but then a few good guys
showed up and i decide to challenge them. I lost most of the
matches (back to Barbarian) alright but i score a couple of victories against them after i managed to adapt in their game.
    But thats just me... [IMG]

To be honest, that's where i pretty much spend my time now anyways. It's more of a frustrating vent-out for the times I attempted rank. It just feels like a whole different ball game once you step over there!

It's all good anyways! I meant it more for the humorous side of it!

I reckon this is a time where we Hunters should unite and help each other out!.... work towards getting into Raider at least I say! XD

Just me??? Guess I'll head back into the Dojo, leaving Jacky at the door this time! Just not working out between us man!......[IMG]

I've been all the way up to barbarian but I always slowly trickle back down. At least I'm not always a hunter with no bar at all these days.

Before even going back to training, save the replays in which you lost the match. Watch them, and analyze what you did wrong or could have done better. With that knowledge, go into training and figure out counters. That's what I did for dealing with [2][P]/wakeup low kicks.

Right now I'm a Raider, but I'm a few matches away from going back to Hunter. However, I feel like I've improved a bit, especially since finding low attack counters.

Jemun, you keep saying everyone is playing like douchebags and bitches, but what does that mean, and why are you losing to "douchebag play," lol? You're gonna have to be more specific if you actually want help. Or you can keep complaining about being worse than scrubs.

I think the complaint is more on the fact that playing player and ranked have two completely feels to it! In player, you feel like there's no pressure in whether you win or lose, and you can play a very good technical game as well. But the moment you step into rank its a case of whatever works in order to win. there are alot of sloppy techniques used, even by higher ranking players (we all know that 9/10 its 2P followed by that 1 string for that respective character) and at times, can feel like broken play.

I think what gets me more than anything is that when going up against some higher ranked players is that after the first round win under their belt, they just troll to the point where it's not even humorous. If anything, I find it quite insulting because I don't need to be constantly reminded in the lack of skill I possess to progress further. I would rather that a high ranking player to play me and completely destroy me in that game, so I can learn from it instead of only getting past one round of a proper match only to finish of with 2p - one string combo and making me look the fool.

I know that some of us lack the experience, but I want to feel like I can learn something from the game instead of always looking the fool.
