    I am not too good at doing multiple throw escapes (on pad or stick) but my friend is pretty damn good at it (on pad). He did the challenge mode no problem. It all comes down to the player I guess.

    nope u don't have my stick don't worry...i was referring to kungfusmurf bc he has my controller pad..he wanted bc the d-pad was very loose since i used to play akira with it ...the stick i've been using (the blue evo stick) is his...i traded my pad and $ for the stick...

    So who's comfortable doing box stepping, ecd, and at least two throw escapes? box stepping is hard as heck for me on a pad. But ecd seems easy. But since I use shun, I have to learn how to box step so I can get into better positions.

    I'm fine doing EDTEG, although I havn't had much success with nice looking stepping...

    I'd tried box stepping with akira on the pad. I too had no luck with getting it to work at all. The pad is just not sensitive enough compare to the stick in which it can return to neutral at various speeds.

    edteg got easier for me after the drill. I also found that doing it a tad slower than on a stick helps. I did notice that I box stepped a tab bit more accurate if I did the following.

    b, b, u,u, and then df, df,df. Instead of just tapping u, once, I tapped it twice. Seems to help it a little more.

    Anyone seen any 'good' ps2 / ps1 controllers aside from the standard issue ones the PS's come with? All i see from gamestop, funcoland, eb games, babagges etc etc are crappy knockoff controllers made for reasons I cant comprehend. Anyone seen any remarkable controllers around?

    Sadly I have seen people fall appart trying to use a joystick. Here is Devil 7om at a tournament yelling "Give me a bloody pad you freaks!"

    since this is the first time ive seen this thread before id just like to defend myself by stating:
    The name Devil7om is in no way affiliated nor associated in any way with this fine asian fellow in any way and;
    I really want a stick but im not paying $69US+ another $39US postage and handling of some shitty site. Play-asia got me excited with their offer but then whatta ya know they're sold out with no confirmed restock date, which is crap because I really want to go sydney to play arcade against the big boys (myke etc). /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif
