Guess he should play more if he doesn't want to get beat.

Maybe you are jumping to conclusions too fast. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

He has like less than 500 games in his card compare to the thousands Mukki has.

He IS Homestay that has won several major tournements. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

True Danny, but does that mean I can go to NYC (I haven't been able to play FT) get smoked then say "well I don't have this game." ?

It's still an excuse even if it is from the great Homestay. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

He IS Homestay and he will be godly in whatever he chooses to play...but that Gorgeous Eileen is pretty good too and placed top 3 in another tournament. I think we are seeing a new elite player here, and maybe one that is better than Homestay! At least for now.

Err.. if I'm not mistaken, "Gorgeous" Eileen is hardly a new player. I think he used to go by the ring name Reorau (or Leolau) and had a godly Kage, among other characters.

Anyways, it's not uncommon for the top players to enter more than one prelim tourney before they eventually qualify for the finals. Chibita entered the first prelim tourney and lost in the first round, and has since qualified. Neo Tower has entered at least two times, and is still trying.

So, with 21 prelim tourneys to go, we haven't necessarily seen the end of Homestay yet, nor the countless other big names players who have yet to qualify.

I'm pretty sure Homestay said that upon making best 4, not after being beaten.

Also, VF5 is going through a version up during the prelims, so that probably also plays a small bit in the results.

If that was Leolau, "a godly Kage" is right. He relocated himself from suburban area to Tokyo and improved his game to become one of the best Kage players in Japan at the end FT era.

Homestay is a quiet guy but a very confident player at the same time. When he visited Korea right after the Otenami Haiken 3 tourney, in which he lost to Armadilo(Lion) in the final 4 or 8, he was asked if there's anyone he has trouble against. He replied without a hesitation, "Nobody can beat me."

BTW, Homestay Kage is pretty tight, too.

Yeah, homestay said that to us as well when we asked him who can give him a challenge in Japan.

haha, what a cocky but at the same time humble guy.

I didn't check the clips but I'm guessing Kage won? Heterosexually-challenged ninja FTW (at last).

    GLC, hilarious as always.

In the 12 prelim tournaments that have so far taken place, that was the first Kage to qualify for ote5.

Current character qualification list is as follows:

    Pai 3
    Lau 2
    Lion 2
    Eileen 1
    Jacky 1
    Kage 1
    Lei-Fei 1
    Wolf 1

So 2 Laus got in, judging from the quantity of Lau clips at HK-VF one might think he's really unpopular...

They've probably ganged up in that location just to make sure a Kage qualifies.
