I know some people have problems viewing WMV9 so I've re-encoded all the tournament movies in WMV8 as well as indexing them. Get 'em here:

Great job Myke! I'm sure people will find these useful.

Watching these matches again after seeing them live, I'm still amazed at how strong these guys are. At certain points during the matches, it's clear that they're nervous as hell. I guess it all boils down to who wets themselves last. /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That was mighty cool of you Myke I's appreciate it. My thoughts on the matches:

1.Some of those victories were straight up stolen. I've never seen so many hail mary floaters in my life. Now I know where the Quest Mode AI gets it from.

2.It must be tough to sit through every replay after every round in a tourney of this calibur. I hated it when I was playing TTT mall tournies. Can I fight please?

3.I'm happy a Jacky player won. Yeah Minami is the shit (and so are most of the top Akira players) but I wanna believe VF is sorta balanced so I'm going with the underdog. Please don't cut my head off about Jacky being the underdog.

4.Haijin was in the zone. I don't think he ate a double palm outside of a combo once. It seemed like every situation Minami might have went for the dp he got MCed for his trouble. It might have been why he won. He totally read Minami at the end. Haijin pysched him out so bad he forgot to tech up.

In the end it was an awesome tourney with some real nailbiting matches. The only thing I could have hoped for was more character variety but it's crazy not to expect to see an abundance of the 4 Horsemen of VF (Akira/Kage/Jacky/Lau). That's like going to an SF tournament and not seeing Ryu or Ken.

I'm very curious to see the Kumite results. Was the Kumite aired or does anyone know of the results?

oh great, a jacky player. Thanks for the vids, but I wish Minami would shown Haijin what Akira is all about. Down with Jacky's stankin ass /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

You can either download them with Streambox from the original links or just go to http://media.virtuafighter.com/media/ote3 and do some right-clicking on the little blue numbers under the Otenami poster. Then just choose "Save target as" and you'll get any of the indexed and WMV8 re-encoded videos, and this all was done by Myke,

    because he loves us.

well, basically what AM2 provided (streamed media after the event), is basically the entire live feed, in better quality, 60 fps, no audio or visual drop outs, the announcers voice is still there (as well as crowd reactions), and even the quiz show is there.

The even better upside is that all of the time in between matches is filtered out, and you can selectively download whatever parts to want.

So either streamboxing the wmv9 files from AM2 or getting the wmv8 files from VFDC is basically the same as watching the live feed. They did things alot differently than KSII.

What I mean is, when you watch the matches from AM2 they released after the event, you aren't missing anything that you would really want to see...that is unless you enjoy watching people clean the machines off after each round :p
