It doesnt really bothering me that they are releasing DLC items. Being a big fan of customization, I would gladly get them just to dress up my characters :3

I think the thread can be left open. I will just change the title to be something less sensationalized than what the original poster wrote :p.

Except for a couple of posts I think it has been relatively civil. We can always agree to disagree, nothing wrong with that.

Let's not spread false information on the net ,shall we? The number of PS 3'syou can share downloaded games/Dlc has been reduced, the feature hasn't been eliminated. Originally you could have your PSN named registered on up to five PS3's and share the DLC on them. Now you can share games/dlc between two PS3's so,long as they both have the same user registered on them. So You and a buddy can go halfsies on DLC costumes. I verified it today, one of my friends still shares Downloaded content with his cousin.

Egm once put out an article saying only 33% of the game buying public even bothers with DLC anyway. Even Grand Theft Auto:The Lost and the Damned, only 30% of Grand Theft Auto players bought it.

Anyway this isn't a time for bitching and pissing and moaning. It is a time for celebration! VFTV is finally coming home in a big way, thanks to saving and uploading replays feature! Hori is making a Final Showdown edition High quality Arcade stick, that's freaking awesome! Focus on the positive.

I am happy to pay whatever for new VF. I have gotten so many hours out of VF5, it comes down to a penny an hour or something. If they have to get creative to find new ways to soak the diehards, oh well. They are not going to release more VFs if they don't make a profit.

No doubt. I'd play VF5 for a whole lot longer if I had too. It's still the best fighter out to me. I still only have used/learned 2 characters.

I'm glad I can kinda help/support Sega/VF in some way by droppin some dollars on em for the DLC. 14,000 items, I don't like to cuss, but fucking shit that's a lot of fucking items!!

I can see customize and download being the same amount as a normal game, or a special edition game so no probs here.

Guillotine I didn't know, it wasn't deliberate just in case you thought I had some kind of motive...?

I had read a few months ago that they were curtailing it for new games/content and tying it to consoles/PSN accounts. If what you're saying is the case then that's perfectly fine. I have no problem going in on the game share/DLC share stuff. Sony allowed it in the past for good reason.

Its still possible on the PS3 and PSP, I still share my downloads with my brother.

As far as i'm aware it's not possible on the Vita though, you have to assign your profile to the Vita's memory card and only one account can be assigned.

    I like the idea.

I just wish they offered an option for folks to get everything for a set price, maybe pre-order only?

I think most folks who choose to not get the DLC though. On freemium games, usually the folks who support the game are less then 10% of the folks who play it.

Lol who would pre- order a DLC. Just store some PSN credit or Microsoft points in your account I guess. If Sega is selling character specific contents as a la carte, maybe they can sell us some ending cutscenes. More power to them.

I would buy ending cut scenes if it was cheap enough and they were polished.

I am a cheapskate, when it comes to this. However, the game itself comes first. I would still buy them, because I do support the idea of making the characters less simple in appearance, but it's better on the other hand, because I never liked collecting them the very long way around.

Perhaps the game cost is at such a cheap price, where this is an alternative for it.

Not to nitpick, but KOF was only 15 dollars on DLC (or maybe less if you were rewarded for the error on the ps3) plus the game was released at a relative smaller price than an stand alone price

Actually KOF case is similar to what sega does, release a game with the most important aspects on it at a cheap price, and paid the rest of it to get more cool things that in some cases are important, or in others, just to add to te experience

At least I could see is paying 1 dollar for each pack for character, that will be like 20 extra dollars for all the pack just like capcom does, with maybe a cheaper price if you bought them all, sounds fair to me

Hell, why deluse ourselves, after 3 weeks, the only people playing the game will be at his majority VF fans who probably will buy the packs since they are hardcore fans of the game and were expecting it

If it has dlc does it mean that the game will be patchable? This might be part of another thread but what is everyone's thoughts.

I am very glad SEGA is making all of the arcade items available for download. That is actually something I was really wishing they would do, one way or the other; I really wanted to have every item. VF5FS is going to be sick, it's as if the videogame gods have answered our prayers.

I'm so happy to be able to give SEGA my money, I should just set up a direct deposit from my account to theirs when this game comes out. Just imagine the endless hours you can waste dressing up your character! I wasted plenty of time doing it in Vanilla, and there wasn't even THAT many items. Now they've got 14,000?!? Fuckin' A, I might never even play the game! [IMG] You guys will be sending me money through Paypal to design a coture outfit for your character [IMG]

Hmm, maybe there will be a new generation of players who really can't play the game to save their lives but looking damn stylish losing... Seriously though I agree, it's fun to dress up characters and I'll most likely buy all items too. [IMG]

    Just to have fun guessing.

There's about 736 items per character if the exact number was 14,000 (it's still rising I believe). I'm guessing more like 10 bucks per character, 800MSP. It could even be more, possibly 1200MSP. 700+ items is shit load for one character.

Capcom has confirmed that 12 new fan-favorite characters will be available as Downloadable Content (DLC) on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of Street Fighter X Tekken later this year. The playable characters will make their debut on the PS Vita system when the game is released this fall, with the console and PC versions receiving them as DLC soon after. The character information and files were intentionally included on retail versions of the PS3 and Xbox 360 game to save hard drive space and to ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available, allowing players who choose not to purchase the content the ability to play against players that did. More specifics regarding pricing, dates and other additional exciting DLC plans for Street Fighter X Tekken will be shared at a later date. As a reminder, the retail version of the game will be the only disc-based version consumers will need to own and all future upgrades will come from post-launch DLC.

It turns out every fans in the world are fucked.

Items and characters on disks, all item packs for DLC? What is this world coming to?!

    Oh wait...

Seriously, you all have electricity, running water, super markets, internet access, possible employment, and eventual access to FS.

    I don't understand the outrage.
