I listen to electronic music almost exclusively, but no house or trance or any of sort of rave music. Some artists I like: Aphex Twin, Autechre, Boards of Canada, Squarepusher, Photek, Telefon Telaviv, Arovane. Anyone hear like any shit like that, cause i fucking LOVE it! /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

Finally some artists I recognize! Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin are my favorites from the group you just mentioned, but Photek and Autechre are good. I couldn't get into Aphex Twin's new album. I guess I should give it some time. Boards of Canada's Geogaddi is really nice, almost as good as Music Has the Right to Children.

I have heard of Sasha, but I don't have the album mentioned or anything else from the artist. I want some new music, so I'll give it a try.

What's up gd, September is very close. :) Yeah, Sasha's Airdrawndagger album is produced mostly by him. Where is other stuff like the global underground series or the norther exposure, or sasha and digweed sets (communicate, expeditions) are mostly just sets that he spun at certain club nights. Airdrawndagger is very ambient compared to his other stuff. Hey did you hear? Rome's next tour stop in in Sacramento. I am so disappointed. OH well, one more tour stop hope this year. Hopefully it will be close to florida or florida.

Ambient, eh? I'm looking forward to listening to it. I haven't heard any ambient music in a long time.

Yah, hopefully. But I'll believe it when I see it. /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif Rome will probably go to Philly or Houston.

Yea Ghostdog, geogaddi is just fucking great, so is Music has the right to children , and you should also check out In a beutiful place out in the country, its an ep and only 4 tracks but its my favorite release by BOC right now. Have you ever heard of soulseek? Its a p2p music sharing program almost exclusively for electronic music. You should get it if you dont have it download the telefon telaviv cd IMEDIATELY! Its just some of the best electronic stuff out there right now. My name is Noob_Saibot on soulseek BTW.

    Nick Warren Report
    Sept. 21, 2002
    12 - 3 AM
    Icon - Orlando, FL

Nick Warren straight up handed shit out last night. Track after track of thumpin' beats. Great track selection and excellent crowd. A little more lyrical then I'm used to, but it was done well. Wasn't cheesy at all, like some of Oakenfold's can get. About 2:30 he busted into some hip hop/rap/pop track which I feel really didn't work that well at all. BUT, after it faded out to silence. There was about 15-20 sec. of silence. Which was just long enough for me to dread he was going to end the set on that. Then, a heavenly rythm wandered into my ears. Followed by immediate relief. Then the realization of what track it was. It's either the 4th or 5th track of Oakenfold's Essential Mix ( My copy isn't tracked ). I honestly don't know the name of it. But, I'm sure Stomp does ( I forgot to ask him ). To the FL crew it's the official soccer chant track. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif Anyway, it was so badass I thought the walls were literally gone come crashing down. /versus/images/icons/shocked.gif He finished up with a couple more hard tracks. After about 5 min. of applause he ( unknown to me ) started throwing some souvenirs. The first of which hit me right in the HEAD! /versus/images/icons/shocked.gif I later found out it was an album cover. I'm still a little miffed I didn't get it, seeing how I was the one it struck and all. /versus/images/icons/mad.gif All in all it was a fucking blast. It was too bad that the 3 chicks from Panama that came w/ Axel didn't speak English. If you knew Axel, you would already know they were fine. /versus/images/icons/grin.gif I guess I should have paid more attention in Spanish class. My teacher was right. Now I know what I might have needed to know Spanish for. I'm tired, time for sleep.

p.s. Shaolin Soccer is the shit.

Hey Karl, glad to hear that you had a blast as so did me and Axel and company. Funny thing was, the whole freaking day rocked. Started out with a little round robin in street fighter alpha 2, then some bomberman action four player style. With you taking two games with your joystick. (most bomberman players uses a pad) Then we had a round robin session with vf4. That was fun. I can't believe I won by one point.

About that song, I totally forgot what it was called. I have a song of it on a certain euphoria album, but it's in leesburg right now. So when I get it, I will let you know. Yeah, I think that rap/hip hop track was some remake that was just odd and it didn't fit his set. But it was the beginning song of his 8 song encore. That was pretty cool. Me and my friend Aaron wanted him so badly to play Southern Sun by DJ Tiesto but he didn't. Damit, that would have just been complete. But his set was pretty awesome seeing as how he has the crowd all jumping around. Then we got news that Sasha is coming to town soon. So you remember the date right? Ask for that day off. :) Also try and get your ass to get a day off for Sander Klienenberg. The freaking guy is really good. Yeah, I think the only girl that spoke english was the one who was freaking married. That pissed me off. Axel always bringing chicks that don't speak english or chinese. lol. Oh well. lol. Better luck next time.

The way things look now, I may not be able to make it. I'll PM you if things change for the better.
