Thanks Talis! Wish you guys were here. So far, it's just 9 of us here. We're not really playing at the moment, just enjoying the atmosphere and slowly setting everything up.

We will be broadcasting as soon as things heat up. As Plague suggested, we will definitely be making a house party vid of our own!

I remember when I first saw that vid OMFG I was blown away when you walk out the door and use movie magic coupled with the awesome GG music was sweet.

 

Actually the added cost is to cover the T-shirts. It is not part of the pot.

I figured most people would like to have a memento to cherish this event to take with them. Adam agreed and I went through with the order on Tuesday. Because of the short notice, the shipping cost was jacked up in able to have the shirts for Saturday.

We had no intention of making a profit with the T-shirts; we are actually putting ourselves at a considerable loss with this endeavor.

Anyone is allowed to object to paying the extra cost and forgoing receiving a T-shirt. I hope you can forgive us if this has caused any doubts from people about coming to the tourney.

We just really wanted this gathering to stand out from the rest and thought this was a cool idea. Of course coming up with material goods does cost funds and we do have limited resources.

Hahaha but me and sal was training all nightttttt till morning and his lei fei is just a big wtf! to understand! i never seen anybody use him like he did last night with me with combos only! and killed me! but i'm glad we train and i hope i can use some of my skills for future games like VF5R i still need to brush myself up against players and the way they play and also throw escape more and learn to combo more.

I originally wanted the banner graphic but it would have been very costly to print due to the multi-color design. ($18+)

The second design I created had all the text in front and would have been cheap to make but Adam, Rodney and I thought it was lacking.

The final design I decided to put "GO THE BALLS" at the back and option to place someone's name. The printer would have charged much extra for each individual name.

For the next event we plan we hope to acquire some heat-transfer paper to iron on names at the event.

I ordered fifty shirts in various sizes [mostly L and XL size]. If I have any left after the tournament I'll be sure to contact anyone interested in a T-shirt.

 

If anyone who knows reads this: Do observers have to pay? Are they allowed in? A buddy of mine wants to watch (and drive me there) but not if there's an extra fee...
