I'm a little disappointed here guys, I mean I know this event is still on and that it's difficult to arrange such a large gathering, but please do not leave us in the dark.

I'll just say that due to the fact that nothing has been posted about the event I went and planned for my wife to come with me and we've pretty much filled the days with some shows and tours. I will be available during the evening on a couple of nights and would like to meet with some people for dinner or some such but really...I couldn't allow myself to have spent money on a flight to NY and be unsure if this thing was going to pan out.

I have a couple of cell phone numbers and will certainly use them to see if anyone is up for meeting up.

It is a big thing for me to take time off and travel so I had to take care of myself in the absence of any information. Hope everything works out for all involved and I hope to see a few people when there's time.

My apologies to everyone. Sorry for not updating regularly. Adam couldn't post beause his laptop is busted and I'm in the process of fixing it. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The current location we were planning is a studio that is willing to host us for Friday and Saturday. They have a full kitchen and bathroom w/ shower. Its at 29th St and 6th Ave. The problem with it is we wanted to bring our Astro City cabs to the place but the studio is 3 flights up a narrow stairway with no elevator. Getting the cabs up there would be very cumbersome. /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The cost at that location we figured would be $40 per person for those staying the weekend.

So we are looking for alternatives and didn't want to post anything until we had a definite local. I'll be in talks over the weekend for 2 other spots. One in Harlem and the other in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

We have the 2nd FT setup, we'll have it fully operational by this weekend. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I want to especially give my thanks for people outside NYC showing support for this. I wanted to give details to most of you (Jerky, Ice-9, GE...) but just didn't get around to it. Sad excuse I know. /versus/images/graemlins/tear.gif

Hey guys, I'm very sorry about this but I would not be attending the NYC tourney. I've notified an organizer know a couple days ago but waited to post this until I was 100% sure. Believe me when I say it is with extreme regret that I say I am not coming, plus the $370 in the non-refundable, non-moveable ticket now forfeited.

 

BOOO I was looking forward to meeting some of the west coast VF team. Sorry you wont be able to make it bro

 

Sadly it looks like I will have to cancel. I was looking forward to it, but I guess it will have to wait for another time.

We'll be setting up on Thursday evening. We'll have access to the room from 11AM to 2AM on Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th. For people travelling from outside the city, Adam and I will arrange housing for you.

Friday is for casuals with a possible Evo tourney in the evening. Saturday is more casuals with the FT tourney starting around 6 PM.

I'm truly sorry for the late updates but things are finally coming to plan. We haven't agreed to a price for the event so we will take donations.
