I'd go, but Saturday is a prime prospecting + client day for people in real estate. If anyone wants to help me learn this game late Saturday I'm only like a 15 minute walk from Next Level but I'll be working up until like 9:00 PM.

I get there around 5pm and setup. Everyone else starts getting there from 6pm on.

Hello, i watched the latest (archived) NYC stream. Very good quality stream btw, just missing some commentary near the end.

Anyway, I have some humble suggestions for the fellow vanessa player:

OS and combos. You are missing out on a lot of damage. At least use . It always works, not hard to input, can lead to extra damage near walls, can ring out over half fences.

shoulder ram stagger > shoulder ram float > shoulder ram. You can replace the last shoulder ram with . It works from both DS and OS. There's no reason not to use this.

DS . Practice the timing on the hit-throw. Otherwise it's -3 on NH, which is a pity. I know you can do it because you manage to land vane's low kick hit-throw (from her lie down stance) frequently. Also don't use from a distance because - even if you input the hit-throw correctly - it won't work. If you want a long range move better use .

DS > . You can still backdash/jump back afterwards. Don't ignore the stomp's measly 13 damage - if you do, then you're doing less damage than a neutral throw!

Finally, Lei Fei's . Not punishing this move is letting the Lei Fei player getting away with murder. Yes, it has pushback - but OS will always connect for a good chunk of damage. Obviously you can use to punish other -15 moves (like Jeffry's knee), if you want to keep things simple. From DS you can unfortunately only use to punish it.

Other than that i loved the use of Intruder Step I was also impressed with the successful use of OS to close the distance, also a an underused move. In fact, good spacing game overall.

NYC crew:

OS is -4 on NH. You have the advantage if your high string is crushed with that move.
DS and OS are special high. Duck?
DS and DS have pushback. Punish with or some other attack, don't try to throw.
