Any updates on the idea of having a bi-weekly at fashion 40?

 

Oh well there won't be a tournament for sure, but casuals will go on. I'll be there Monday. I'm going to be chatting with them about getting vf at the next mashfest but we ate going to need to get good numbers for it.

My friend Jon started the Mashfest tournaments and casual meetups. Sal you might remember him hanging out at Port Authority bowling alley arcade or at Chinatown Fair back in the day.

He runs a tournament once a month for a particular Capcom game at different venues. The past tournaments have been UMVC3 & SFXT. The next tourney will focus on AE. It's free entry and the prizes have been $50 gift cards to Midtown Comics plus other small items. He's talked to Eight-Arc and they have given him joysticks for prizes the past two events.

Every other Monday he hosts a casual meetup at the Fashion 40 bar/lounge. It cost $3 to enter. The have about 6-7 consoles setup and people play random games throughout the night. My other friend has brought FS the past two events on his HDD and people have enjoyed playing it. It cost $3

Mashfest holds its event at bars. Some of them venues might enforce a policy for 21 & over.

 

Aw, that would suck if they did.

 

How old are you? I've seen some underage folks, it's also a restaurant, you just can't sit at the bar.
