I run an ongoing monthly tournament series. Generally features Blazblue and Guilty Gear (and Melty when it was more...alive...its probably getting dropped altogether to make more time for VF). Skullgirls is a recent thriving addition as well. Team St1ckbug. I'll leave the facebook and stream plugs for the actual event pages though ^_^.

I'll also be at ECT running those games as well as playing what I can (probably not VF if there's even a side event honestly, as I don't know the basics well and it's a short period in my limited free time to learn before then), but I'll try to get in some time around any VF setups to watch and talk for a bit.

I got introduced the beauty of VF too late sadly years ago...I will give this game every opportunity it deserves to thrive, just I give everything I run that opportunity.

Stand up VF. And show the world.

What's the point on having people come through at Next Level? That's just money spent per hour. Why not host more sessions at other people's cribs?

We can probably have 3 setups at someones house at most at someones crib. Honestly that's not enough for the full amount of NYC players. Also we wouldn't get any new players interested in the game if we shelter ourselves.

NL on an off night can support the NYC VF community well if we were to meet in full force. That is to be determined though.

Yeah, we have to make the game and our community visible. This isn't to say we won't be doing gatherings at each other's cribs. But I know I could only have like 4 people at my spot at once max. NL makes it so nobody has to have 15 people at their house at once.

I wouldn't be able to go that weekend because of ECT. I'm at NL most Fridays and some Saturdays.

Also first tournament is Sat. June 23rd. I'll post it in a few days after I clarify a few things (got the date, mostly stream related matters).

Isn't NL just $10 for the whole day / night? I think that's pretty cheap and the perfect spot granted we get there early enough to get some consoles.

I met up with Cruz, Hayato and Raz last night @ NL. Good times were had.

There was hardly anyone there. I can see Tuesdays as an alternate date for people who can't make it on Friday nights.
