Alright, to the NYC peeps.

We have a Japanese native in town. His name is Jin. He plays VF, Street Fighter, and Soul Calibur. His AIM is Jinkyokai, and he goes by SaiJin on the forums here. Also good friends with mochiA himself.

What he's come for: a good time. He's in the Roslyn area in LI, and he's staying for a week (until this Friday).

He'l be posting right after me with more info. I happen to be very busy at the moment. I was wondering if we could hang out with him until his week is up, or at least just to keep him busy here in the Big Apple.

I hope we can show him why everyone talks well about the crew here.

Yack! I hate Loli heart! Despite that I play it more than Fist since Evo East. Like 10 to 2? Anyway I didn't really play any of them for more than half year.

Back to YAAFI business, I am planning to visit China this summer. Shanghai and Hongkong both places have VF5 cabinets. So I have to check them out whenever I get a chance! I already know how to find the Shanghai peeps, but I want to know if Andy is living in HK? I probably need some intense VF session with NY peeps before I hand my ass to those pros there. Many Shanghai VF veterans had been playing the game since 199X? LOL! Better take some photos and videos there! (I am now struggling between picking Jeff or Wolf XD)

Hi everybody! New to the NYC VF scene here. Just wondering, where do you guys play? Is there a cab in Chinatown Fair now? Or is there some other place I don't know about.

Glad to see there may be a place nearby for me to get my VF fix.

Unfortunately, NYCVF doesn't have a home right now. There are no VF5 cabs around. We haven't had a meetup in a while.

Hello Nunu. Welcome to Virtuafighter.com

Currently there is no arcade setup for VF5 or any version of VF for that matter in NYC.

Web2Zone has X360 consoles that you can rent for an hourly fee. If you would like we can probably arrange to meetup there in the future.

We sometimes gather at someone's house/flat but as for the past few months there have been no meetups due to the weather. Keep watch for this thread of any future gatherings.

Ah I see. So CTF hasn't gotten a VF5 cab ... and yet they probably still have 3 tekken 5 DR cabs. Anyway I'll keep an eye out here.

That NJ tourney sounds interesting, even though I'll prob get owned up. Thanks! I'll probably be there. For anybody going, I'll be the 20-sumthin dude with glasses that uses El Blaze with the grace of a 3-legged camel.

Edit: dammit nvm on the NJ trip ... forgot the g/f is inviting a bunch of people over to watch Trinidad vs Jones. (Poor Jones is gonna get his face flattened)

Hey guys. Little heads up: in case you don't know there is a tourney happening on Saturday the 19th in Long Island. Not for VF, but for 2d fighters and Tekken 5 DR and several others. Check the link below:

There's going to be a tournament in New Jersey in the same weekend. The New Jersey tourney will be worth your time more.

I have been to one of Jaxel's tournaments before and I had a good time. I won't be able to attend this one because I already made plans.

I really wanted to go to the Jersey one but unfortunately it's too late as I have plans that night. I'll try to make it for the next one though!

I'm basically settling for the LI one since it's earlier. Gotta get my fighter fix somehow.

There will be a Long Island tournament on March 8th at the Castle Fight Night 7 event. I'll be running the VF5 tourney on 1 or 2 Xbox 360's, depends on turnout. Here's the event's thread:
