I'm sure Friday will happen. I enjoyed some dojo time tonight, and discovered a new character in GG.

And yeah, GGs Sunday. shinryu, Ted, Jaye and Zony gave VF some reason to be played, and others played AE. Hope to see all ya'll and then some next time.

AJS and I both have an interest in Guilty, though he can actually play someone. Hellsap is one of the main anime fighter community organizers around here and he plays some VF as well. I messed around with Jam in #Reload, but I think Slayer might fit me a lot better. Who do you use? Have you played long?

AJS plays Sol Badguy I think it is? AJS used to be very active in GGX a long time ago, maybe 7 or so years ago?

Portland does have some GGX players, but they don't come out to venues like Best Bout much (sometimes it's schedule or logistics; and then sometimes... $5 is hard for them to budget... but they have an active enough group to meet at a comfortable host's home so I get some of where they're coming from)--they usually find someone's house to play at. I only know some of the players like Hellsap, FullMetalRoss, and I think AndrewT plays. A bit up north we have a pretty decent player in Battleground, Washington also ^_^

I'll be fair to those two guys (and they are friends) and say that FMR can no longer manage time to come out as often as he would like with family life and what not. At least that's what I've interpreted. And Hellsap has been very supportive as much as he can, his barrier is logistics.

I think we should probably check on the group and see if monthly GGX tournaments interest them ^_^

Hellsap and Alex have both been coming to BB since ACP was released, so there is definitely a small scene taking hold there.

    How about weekly? :3

Might have to pick up GG if you guys are playing it. Always loved Sol Badguy. The whole cast is still awesome to me.

GGs overall to everyone but Seattle still has a long way to go. I feel if we take from each other we could a benefit greatly. On my end, I need to start punishing when the other person doesn't Tech-roll. Gave up so much fee damage, last night due to Shouta never tech-rolling. Im St
STILL trying to force things, as I feel my speed has improved greatly, but adjusting and punishment, while better than before, still needs work.

What Im not seeing a it from the other guys is movement. A lot of fights tend to stay on the same plane the entire time putting your selves in risky situations against the wall and ring out . However the punishment is a lot better as the people not zipping around, are making every hit count with down attacks, whether with downed attacks or ground throws.

Gotta eat, will think of more later.

shinryu and I played about 60 games at Best Bout. Can't have VF on stream if I don't have a rotation. Where my VFers at.

GGs shinryu. You're getting better, though it may not feel like it. Keep adapting. Wish you weren't so tired, I know that's a big factor on these nights. Find out how to maintain execution. Learn every launcher's combo. Your throw yomi on offense was impeccable, and I bet the same would be true of your throw breaks if you force yourself to yutori.

This will be a bit of a rant so please be aware of that...

This past weekend NEC 13 happened on the East Coast and if you are not aware, most of the top players from the East Coast did not make the event.

I DO NOT want to see the same thing happen during this event. If you live on the West Coast. San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Arizona, Vegas, Northern California, etc... Then mark January 18th-20th as a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday that you are going to be in Irvine for Socal Regionals.
    SEE YOU ALL THERE!

Sounds like a mid communication the EC players, haha.

So yeah, for anyone in Seattle, tourney fee is going yo to $10. It's up for discussion, but my reasons are 1) we have a set player base 2) the stakes should be higher. The money is whatever since I love VF, but I think this will push us to get good and make it not lame with our
    small player base.

The EC can do what they like. I am trying to get the word out on this event. I want to give people the time to plan ahead since Socal Regionals is over 1 month away.

Especially since I want this game to be at EVO and I know the organizers are looking at the VF numbers for these events before making that decision.

Not making SCR due to $ bein tied up, unfortunately, however I'm trying to ht Final Showdown and EVO this year. I don't really care if the game is a side tourney as I'm stil trying to get my VF on. Wished I was hitting tournies earlier in life, but I didn't know about them until Final Tuned came out, and we know how that went.

Wished Final Showdown got more love from VF "vets" but because of VFs reputation and VF5 being peoples first VF, we are stuck with a lot of rejects from other fighting games claiming FS isn't
"real VF". Here's to hoping FS paves the way for a more knowledgable fan base for VF6, even if it's this late in the game.
