[IMG] Some last minute scheduling have allowed Sega to bring VF5FS to the Northwest Majors in Des Moines, Washington - June 2nd-3rd! The tournament will be the first 64 players that registered. The tournament starts on Saturday around 2 PM PST and will be streamed throughout the entire day Saturday by Khaos Gaming TV Channel! In addition, top 4 will be streamed on Sunday at ~11:15 PST on the main stream channel Team Khaos Channel. Thanks to Femto and Chanchai for providing the information!

I had other things to do then waste my time with that insult. Tried watching it yesterday, it wasn't happening, didn't get many status updates, and basically got dissed. They know what they're doing in SoCal, but they have no clue in DeMoines, as usual..

Congrats to the winner and runners up though, hope you guys had fun.

Shit was wonky and running late. I imagine next year there will be less delays more players.

Sorry the technical difficulites and delays ruined it for those watching.

On the flip side, people seemed interested and are looking forward to playing this.

Despite all the faults about the stream stuff concerning VF, HUGE THANKS to the organizers for hooking up Chanchai with this game so we had a casual station to play on ALL WEEKEND! I came to to play VF and did EXACTLY THAT! VERY GRATEFUL for the chance to play this all for 2 days and it really made the wait a lot easier, since I'm kinda burnt out right now after two straight days of VF. When I'm recovered from it, FS will be out and I'll be ready to go again.

Thank OMNE for running the tourney! There weren't too many entrants, since a lot of our players are focusing on the games they've been playing for the last year in preparation for EVO, but it only ran slow since, again, those guys were playing multiple games, and it took awhile to finish (KOF XIII and SFxT for example) but it was still cool and I'm thankful that OMNE volunteered his time running the tourney.

Shoutouts to Slash for not having a nervous breakdown and running things as smooth as he could under the circumstances!

Oh yeah, gotta give A HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO Zass for calling out SEGA on the stupid ass button config(as well as other companies). Why only 3 FUCKING GAMES use button presses for mapping is beyond me...well actually it isn't, it's because Japan for some dumb-ass reason thinks it's awesome.

My ONLY gripe about FS is the interface. After this weekend it's really cumbersome and has some things that aren't THAT big in the overall scheme of things, but it's a bunch a little stuff that makes you go "Really?"

The interface at first definitely is not intuitive. Once I actually took time to read the on-screen instructions - It was fairly easy to use. The buttons configs have pre-sets that should quickly get you the button config for most standard joystick makers.

Please pardon my commentating, this was a first for me. VF starts right away at the 0 minute mark!

(And for those of you that like street fighter 2 "ST", the top 8 for that starts at the 45 minute mark, I'm commenting that as well as participating)

Grats to Chanchai and Femto for fun finals!

For those that want to see the great epic-ness that is Nidhogg, which was featured in the Grand Finals of the Mystery Game Touranment...

Go to the 37:30 mark of the video:

Northwest Majors: Mystery Game Tournament Loser's Final + Grand Final

The first game of the video is a pretty awesome Platformer Pong game. But Nidhogg stole the show as Atari Fencing on Crack where you try to umm.. "Get that dick.." :p Umm... well watch it, it's worth it, it gets better and better as the players adjust more to the game and figure it out ^_^
