so that stick i ordered?

yeah, it's never coming. they said they couldn't get it so they refunded me.

and that fucking sucks because that stick was perfect for me. it had 3, 4 and 5 button configs and now i'm stuck between doing a ghetto ass mayflash mod or spending way too much for a fucking hrap that isn't even good for vf.

know of anywhere that still sells vshg's?

i haven't seen a vshg in stock anywhere for the last 3 months except for one hong kong guy on ebay who sells for $218 shipped.

mayflash mod is wack, don't waste your money. with the amount you spend on it plus parts its the equivelent of buying an hrap1 and real adapter without the need for tools, modding experience, and time wasted.

 

thanks for the referral, but i'm just not too fond of the hrap 1. it has a decent three button layout (i played ver. b on fiveten's and it was no vshg but it was usable) and i guess i could live with the 5 button but there's no 4 button config on it.

i guess that's why they're so much cheaper than the hrap 2's though.

maybe i should wait for vf5:r's console release and a possible rerelease of the vshg?

though actually, the more i look at the hrap 1 i can see how i could make it essentially perfect just by moving the two buttons closest to the stick.

my hrap's stock. wait till i get the sanwa buttons put in, it'll be much much nicer. plus i like the thick n wide base of the hrap. could use some weights tho. go ahead an get one.

hopefully some high grades come out w/ the vf5r release. ill definitely try to pick 1 up.

it's not so much the buttons so much as it is the layout. it just felt kinda weird because the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif button is out of place (though maybe larger buttons would solve this?).

what i'd like to do is place one of the buttons closest to the stick under the first button of the bottom row for the traditional vf setup, then place the other one right next to the last button of the bottom row for the traditional snk setup. then i'd pretty much have the virtua stick i was trying to get in the first place.

so instead of four each row, i'd have three on the top and five on the bottom; one extra on the left for vf and one extra on the right for garou.

 

The ratio of "stick discussion" to "random insults" is becoming skewed into the direction of not awesome... fuckers.

think i might go with the fs3. i've heard nothing but good things about it from srk and dl (some even prefer it over the hrap 3) and it's cheaper ($70 shipped agrees with my current balance of ~$100).

at this point i don't care if it doesn't have an snk layout since i'm not that good enough at garou to warrant a stick anyways, and at this point anything is better than a dualshock. what say you norcal?
