BTW, KoD, I love how you said that Willy thing, but you didn't post the response of what Willy said. Willy and I were mad cool. I don't know who made the joke, but willy remembered what was said... someone made some joke (didn't even know it was willy at the time), then nobody laughed and I said "Your joke died", then people started cracking up. That was that. And as for the "chair incident", about me "not getting out of a chair when it was other people's turns to play, and brain-dead-idly sitting in their place to sit" also turned out to not be remembered by ANYone who was there. Only thing people said was exactly what happened. I asked for a chair because it was awkward to sit on the one's on the floor... they brought it... after the match, it was taken back, and I didn't ask for a chair again... I just sat on the floor, because it looked like nobody else wanted to use the chair (later on, someone else requested it though, and I think it stayed there).

So BASICALLY, people (Tony) are just trying to sully my character for no reason, with stuff that never happened. Once again... misremembered is a VAST understatement.

The thing is, I never thought money matches were about beef until I got to this community. In other fighting game communities, people do money matches for fun and as a part of tourneys. Some people have beef, but a lot of them are for fun and help to make back some of the transport costs of people who don't really place in the tourneys. Then I had it explained to me that in the VF community, it was PURELY for beef, so I know not to mention it again, less people get touchy.

So is there anyone from the Sacramento area that commutes down to the Bay Area for these get togethers? I'm new to the game and still learning the ropes but would love to watch you masters in action. It's so easier to learn hands on.

I dont play on poker stars, I jsut play casually with people, sometimes we get some games going at the meets if people are up for it. Most ppl are just in and around Bay area afaik...

If I came down it would be to just meet and greet. I'm about 1 month into this game and having a hell of a time understanding alot of the concepts. I'd love to come down, watch you pro's play and ask you a ton of questions I have. I learn best hands on.



I've been in the Dojo the last 2 weeks with El Blaze. I find it easier to memorize moves by the characters with their moves in english. I'm gonna learn the game with El Blaze for now.

Though Goh Jeffry,Lau do look interesting.

I just recently picked up my 360 for Fighter/Shooter games so I'll be around for awhile.

Katsudon, great Vanessa mirrors and noticeable improvement through the gathering. Just work on your rising mix ups and getting all the damage off combos (I'll finish the wiki by mid-june). Great gathering guys, we need more, more often. I can host a small gathering maybe on Tuesday or Thursday (or both?) afternoon (tue 10 a.m.-whenever, thurs 2 p.m.-whenever), though, more than 3 people (which is kinda pushing it) will be impossible though.

Anyone willing to host for this Saturday? 001 has the following one (if not, the tourney in Danville).
