Northern California VF Thread!!

Nothing wrong with Ver. B. I've got 2 sticks for mine (not SANWA, but HORI: AND I LIKE IT THAT WAY).

I'm off work at 12:30, so I can maybe drop by 2-3ish.

It also ducks under DS Vanessa's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, Jeffry in general, and other mids at certain frames.

It's funny to see a special high beat it when it can go under mids.

 

I have 1 TV. 50 inch plasma 720p. there is probably room for another set up but i dont have a TV for it.

honestly id rather not throw down unless we can get another 360 stick. i odnt want ot play an out of date ver. of the game

i think we will be playing in oakland on sunday though...

 

i got a family party to go to on saturday so sorry dudes.

get katsudon and temjin to go and you have 3 more sticks plus 2 360s.

also dunno if you guys know but there is a fighting game tournament in my town danville may 10th and the guy throwing it said i could set up a vf5 station for casuals or even run a side tourney if i wanted. dunno how many would be interested in that but here is the website http://www.axisgaming.org/

if there is interest in a side tourney let me know and i'll work on getting that set up. we'd need at least 8 people to enter to make it worthwhile and have a full bracket. side tourney prize would only be what we put into the pot.

 

we have a guaranteed 4 for a side tourney (me, jay, sebo (?), jeff, steph, dubc(?)) im sure some other ppl there would play too. lets make it happen.

 

I'll probably go to that side-tourney. Got to check my calendar, though.

I DO know that I'll be in Reno this weekend. So good timing there, jackasses.


Akira's 3 P+K goes under Vanessa's DS 66K? Holy crap I didn't know that! I wonder if Eileen's 3 P+K will do that too?

Maybe, but /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif might be able to as well; I know /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif goes under a lot of Jeffry's mids too.

Of course for a weird property like this, I doubt it'll help your game if you try to crush mids because I bet it's only evasive at certain frames VS. where in frames the opponent's attack is.

Vanessa is to NorCal what Akira is to SoCal.

So I guess we're BROKEN TIER.

 

Dang, I was looking to try to pool with Katsudon. I don't know if we'll have enough sticks then guys. If Temjin doesn't respond with his stick, we might have to postpone... and next Saturday, I'm supposed to be going to Karaoke with some 3 cute Japanese chicks I met last night... can't say I'll pass on that for VF, sorry guys. =P

yeah i think we should postpone until we can get more ppl to confirm and more sticks. maybe in the meantime ill work on getting a 360 too so we'll see.

Central California.

 

If we're gonna be exacting... Humbolt, Siskiyou, Modoc, Shasta, etc are NorCal.

S.F. and S.J. are Upper-MiddleCal.

UMCal, represent! (though we never seem to have gatherings :\)
