Just so people actually understand the situation... This tournament is not even very large scaled one. Qualifications are only done in arcades around Tokyo, thus the number of participants is quite low compared to OH4.

Anyways.... I don't know if this would be a good place to post this, but some arcades have begun to list FT Ver. B to arrive on January 6th. I don't know how this will affect the Heroism tourney since the last 4 qualifications will be held after the version upgrade if the date is correct. Anyways, this seems feasible since no qualifications are scheduled to be conducted on the day of the version change. In addition, the 6th is a thursday... so this info seems to hold alot of credibility. Just a heads up and mostly useless info for 99% of us since we dont' have FT and even those who have it will likely have some trouble obtaining the upgrade on that day... If FT is coming to home, it should be sometimes after Ver. B if B was to be the last upgrade...

    Yah no Jin...

I am pulling for Dera Akira as well, and Makoto.

    But #1 pick is...

    MINAMI!

    Minami Kage of course!

I am not talking about that scrub Minami Akira, of course.

I don't know if all the qualifications have been finished yet, but here is the list so far. Note that G = Green rank, C = Copper rank, B = Black rank, and S = Special rank. Ordered by number represented and then by alphabetical order.

    Aoi (5): S, 1C, 3G, 3G, 3G
    Kage (5): S, 1B, 3C, 3C, 2G
    Lau (5): 2C, 1C, 1C, 3G, 1G

    Akira (2): 2C, 1C
    Jacky (2): 1C, 1C
    Wolf (2): S, S

    Jeffry (1): 3G
    Lei Fei (1): 2C
    Pai (1): S
    Shun (1): S
    Vanessa (1): 1C

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that though there are as many highly ranked players in this tournament as OT4. There's only one black rank in the whole tournament, for example. What's also interesting is that three green ranked Aois made the tournament. It's amazing that no Lions made the tournament. Goh and Brad less so given their relative unpopularity.

Based on the above, I put my money on a Kage player winning the tournament. They have the highest representation and the most highly ranked players. Lau would be a close second, but I would never underestimate Nuki...

Just something to keep in mind, even though the tournament should be starting as we speak, Sega still have not posted all the participants yet. There are still 4 spots left that we don't know of. So things could be different.

    Small update:

Koufu Megane (Aoi) and KudouKun (Goh) qualified at the day of the event. Results are not in yet, so we will see. We are still missing the names of 4 of the qualifiers. I've heard the winner mentioned as Hideo (Wolf), but nothing has been confirmed yet. We will see.

Nice to see a goh in the tourney, especially amidst all the talk about him being weak. Maybe it's due to the ver B changes?

Maybe the Goh player was the only player signed up for the tournament. Remeber the 2 player tourney? =P

Anyways, go Goh. Show Arashi what he might be missing out on. =P

What kind of a character do you guys want to see winning this year. Personally I would like an Akira player win. To me it just feels kinda unfulfilling that a Kage player whooped ass.

Whatever, Akira had his moment in the spotlight when Minami Akira came out of fucking nowhere and owned up Katutou Shinseiki 2.

If Hideo winning is true...man I can't wait to see the matches.

Ok, it seems confirmed. Hideo Wolf wins Heroism 2.

His title is now TouOu meaning King of the East.

    The Truth about VF...(Pt. 2)

Well, well, well, look what we have here...why, did I just read that a Wolf player, by just name of Hideo, just win Heroism 2?

Huh? What's that? There's something else...one...two...five Kage players attended this tournament?! Well they must have been garbage players, right?

What? Yourou, Edo, Makoto.....MINAMI?!!!. Those players are no scrubs! In fact, some of the very best in Japan!

What is the real truth about VF?

    Could it be?

    Is it.......

    BALANCED?!

Yeah. You get a nitaku sitatuon and mix between throw or something big and it's bye bye lifebar (does he REALLY need to do THAT much damage with striking???). Totally small effort vs Payoff CHEAPNESS for Wolf COCKFIELD.

And what's the deal with the karaoke? How ghey is that??!~~
