How about the third weekend of November? That would be the 17th (Friday) through the 19th (Sunday), which makes just enough way for people to avoid holiday plane ticket fares (i.e., ridiculously high rates because everyone is traveling). I would have suggested the 2nd weekend, but the prices i saw were very similar, and that Saturday is Veteran's Day so it might bump into family or planning issues.

Hope things come together soon, I'm sure your efforts will pay off great Shag /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'm really looking forward to it, thanks!

Look I just want to clearify something I am not trying to be negative, I'm just realistic & to show my positive side I'll buy 1 round of drinks for everyone when we have dinner together. That is if I'm feeling non-lazy that weekend. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

This definatly sounds good...I think next month I am going to be in NYC fighting in a san shou competition so this could work out nicely!

As Shag said, we can rent a spacious loft for playing/sleeping. This one is a possiblity (It is located in Brooklyn, but that shouldn't pose a problem):

I have emailed them for a price quote. It's got a roof deck with a kick ass view!

Guys, any word on the purchase of an additional FT set-up (super-gunned)? 3 set-ups would be ideal for an FT tourney and a few Evo set-ups for casual play.

Can't wait for the official thread!

That looks pretty big,this place looks good for a great setups of maybe 20 games or more,and it's in brooklyn which is not bad.

not to be spoiled, but is it carpeted?
itll make a huge difference what to bring in addition to a sleeping bag.

You are right, Denkai, NYVF tourney is an urban myth indeed. You see, no one can bring out a trophy to prove they won a NYVF tourney

So my suggestion is... Make a trophy for this tourney? A trophy with stick and buttons so you can play VF with it at home will be quite extraordinary, right?

Just please, please, please make the tourny on a saturday that does not conflict with Yom Kippur or Rosh Hashana.
Rosh Hashana Sat 9/23/2006 (starts night of the 22nd)
Mon 10/2/2006 - starts night of the 1st.

Yes, please have your next tournament be on a Saturday...or a Sunday. Also, please don't have it clash with Haloween TYME.
