I wonder why they made Lei Fei masher friendly.

Maxi was like this as well in Soul Calibur. You could pretty much mash a huge number of different strings.

He was very masher friendly, and at the same time he was the most difficult character to learn how to control, since it took a lot of discipline to control your inputs precisely.

Come to think of it, VF punishes hard for poor inputs.

Learning to use his offense is as easy as ever but it is his defense that is a challenge most Lei Fei's don't use this well as they should. I am not saying you play defensive Lei should be played offensively but being able to put up a decent defense once in a while now that is something I would like to see more often.

Most of Maxi moves have heavy delays also so he could'nt be punished really atleast in the right hands (Like Mine lol). HE kinda Tekken Soulcalibur of you ask me.

For me Maxi was a lot of flash, some of the things he did didn't actually do damage, they were just for show or changing stances. So if you got used to it, it was fairly easy to punish him (for me as Talim), but if he got the momentum, it was over in like 4 secs lol. I hated nightmare though too op imo.

Not sure what you mean by this... Lei-fei can't block while in stance, so most of his defense comes from sabakis. It means that even the most defensive player is still going to look lik they're attacking non-stop... it's just different attacks.

Yes! I found this to be the hardest thing picking up maxi. As soon as you knew how he worked, he became really easy to punish. Even more so if you mashed the wrong string... it's like time to eat a combo.

But as for maxi having heavy delays, if someone really knew how to utilize him (he's was definitely more dominant in SC1) then oh man... you are in for a treat.

Did you guys ever watch WCMaxi and his Projects? His maxi project was sooo good =O Still a tear in my eye watching this stuff... oooh <3 SC1

Thats exactly what he meant. A lot of lei-feis rely too heavily on sabakis so that their regular defensive game is lacking.
