What up yall been a member since 2000 was heavy into the scene in vf4 and vf4evo but fell out for vf5 but that was because nobody in Omaha Ne liked vf5 but we really like vf5fs. just thought id say hi to all the new flops

Hi VFers, my name is Marcos AKA WiZzYx (WiZzYx3DG on Xbox Live). I've been lurking the site for a while anonymously, since the launch of VF5: FS. Playing with a mashy Lei-Fei in the beginning, until the arrival of Dead or Alive 5 in September 2012. With the changes in the latest patch of DoA 5 (lobbies with connection filter...), I dropped the game because I can't find people to play with...I live in South America, where 3D fighters are not popular, so offline matches are not possible. I decide then, to move back to VF5 a few months ago, but this time with Akira as main, and Shun Di sub-main, after seeing some videos of Kamaage and Fuudo @ EVO 2012 ...unbelievable players. Almost certainly has played with some of you in these weeks, since I've returned to play ranked matches. I hope to improve my new characters in order to be a worthy opponent.

To add onto this, for DOA, I play Kasumi with 2 subs. For MK, I play Mileena & Kitana. For Injustice I'm deciding between Flash & Nightwing for the starter.

Hey everyone. New VF member and player. I have played some of every VF but never really competitively. I was more into the other fighters like SC, MK and fight night. I love VF though and started playing VF 5 Final Showdown on PS3. I am HORRIBLE. I play Jackie so I know that most already know his tricks. My record is something like 25 wins 75 losses. However I play almost all players with 6000 matches under their belts so I guess some of my skills are there in a general sense.

I know very little of the talk around here and could use some help. I am used to hearing 50/50 mixup and frame advantage/disadvantage but I have no idea what people are talking about with the terms and also the buttons? The combo sections just don't make sense so I am wondering if their is a noob thread that explains things?

Well hopefully as a member here, I can hone my skills and up my Win/Loss ratio. I am a pretty competitive person so I can't stand losing this much but understand that this is a DEEP game and I will of course lose to people with 6000 matches. It makes it that much sweeter when I actually beat them

 

Thanks, I have been surfing more through the forums and getting acclimated. I downloaded all the DLC and have had some online fun. I don't care if I lose and try to fight the best competition. There are some amazing players and I find that against them, I almost do nothing. Against lower level, I get into a groove. I have to definitely work on punishing and learning good combos. I have always been a gamer and into mainly competitive FPS but also some fighting but not nearly as good. But I get the whole psychology of it and really focus on the 50/50. This game is just so high level, it's quite a challenge fighting guys with 3000-8000 games to my 130. Right now I am batting about a 30% chance of winning lol. I will practice the combos you put out. Thanks again. I'm straferight_dave on PSN so will try to add you. I just got back into the PS3 as I am mostly a PC FPS gamer of the past few years.
