Hello all. I finally decided to join this community of VF players, enthusiasts, thinkers, and so forth and whoever there is.

I'm not new to the series, as I started very long ago as a reasonably young child with VF1 in the arcade, then VF2 on PC, after which I stopped playing the series. It is only last year or so that I suddenly thought of this series again and picked up VF5.

My favourite characters are Eileen and Pai. And even though I'm not new to the series, I really had to pick up the pace once more, and this time even better than then of course, and get used to it. It has been quite fun and I've learnt pretty quickly and still have some learning to do I bet.

Allo, I'm Focus Trees.I play Lau; I'm not new to the VF series, I've always liked it but was distracted by Tekken. When Tekken Tag 2 came out I knew it was time to go back to VF. Luckily I found some streams that were showing VF5FS play, and the people in them told me to come here, and here I am. @(^_^)@

Yet another VF newbie right here. Some folks might recognize me as Ghosty-J from Free Step Dodge. I have a diehard love for fighting games. I'm also an obscure artist/cartoonist that makes fan art of just about anything if I'm in the right mood. I'm also a major fanatic over Suda51 games, Shenmue, everything related to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and anything with Sonic's name on it XD You can read my boring ol' history with the franchise or skip over it to the last paragraph if you're not bored enough to read walls of text XD

My history with VF is pretty strange. I've had Tekken, Soul Calibur, and DoA throughout my entire childhood in regard to 3D fighting games. There was this one time at a party when my dad and his friend were playing Virtua Fighter 2 on his friend's SEGA Saturn. The only character I could remember was Kage since I had a strong love for ninja (which still lingers around today). I never got to play it myself, so I basically grew up with little to no exposure to VF with only the image of Kage staying in mind for years afterward.

I then saw Virtua Fighter 5 the next decade, but skipped out on it since it looked too slow paced. I was most likely on a Tekken 5 kick at the time. A few years after that, I was browsing through arcade footage of VF5FS after the console release was confirmed to see what all the fuss was about. To say the least, I haven't been this addicted to footage of any fighting game before and the high level play looked ridiculously fun and entertaining to watch. I then proceeded to look at footage of every iteration before then, along with the other games, to see what I missed out on. And my goodness, I wish I got into Virtua Fighter sooner, because everything looked amazing!

I got VF5FS day one of release, so this was basically my very first true blue Virtua Fighter game. I was dead-set on maining El Blaze and Kage and didn't focus on much else. Then Akira caught my attention mainly because he has customs that could make him look similar to Ryo Hazuki, so I set on learning him for that very reason. But the moment I laid eyes on his Bajiquan in motion, explored into how much depth he had, and finally learned about his role in the story, I instantly fell in love with him as a fighting game character. Ever since he was confirmed for DoA5, I've put up a relentless effort to learn him as much as I can before release. And then the rest is short history XD

So here I am today still playing VF5FS (alongside DoA5). At this point I'm more than willing to say that Final Showdown is the best 3D fighting game ever made. I LOVE this game so much. It's perfect in nearly every aspect and just such a well-balanced game that it's almost depressing it doesn't have a fanbase as large as Capcom and Namco fighters. At this rate I don't think I'll ever stop playing it. Now all I have to do is get off my lazy butt and start making more Virtua Fighter fan art one day :V

Hello, my name is JuliusRage.

I'm a legendary Dead or Alive player. Theres not a single man, woman or transvestite in that community who hasn't gotten stomped by the Zackzilla himself (Me). I'm the peoples champion over there, everybody respects me, everybody fears me.

I'm here because I've conquered that mountain and now I want to try my hand at something just as fulfilling. I've always enjoyed Virtua Fighter but the fact is that between all that I have going on in my life I really only want to take one fighter seriously at a time. DOA is out, VF is in.

Also I'm going to host bi-weekly online Xbox tournaments WITH PRIZES. Its something I used to do for Dead or Alive and now that I'm finished there (For now) I'll do it here. The first one will be TODAY with one following every other week - most likely on a Sunday as well. Check the events section in about 20 minutes for details.

I want to close with this - I'm your daddy. I run this website now and I also run this community. I'm the best asset you have and I'm the best looking, best smelling, best speaking, biggest ICON this community will ever possess.


P.S A big reason I'm here is to help build a stronger bond between the Dead or Alive and Virtua Fighter community. At some point later this year or early next year I want to hold a major that focuses on Dead or Alive and VF as the main attractions. The games are so similar that I feel the best in both communities would have equal success in both - so why not pool our efforts?

I hardly play Pai now. Not even Eileen. I prefer Shun Di and Kage now, and Shun Di more than Kage. I find him a very funny character with what I call a fun style, hehe.

 

Pai~Shun! He is kind of a sub for me too, loads of great moves and throws hehe, get those drinks up, wobble wobble!

Another Virtua Fighter newbie

I'm from Spain and NOBODY plays VF here, so hope that someone wants to teach me (well, kick me) how to play better, because ended bored of Street Fighter IV and his cheap tactics, comebacks and all that stuff .

Always wanted to learn VF, but was too scared of the "legendary" complexity of it; so tried a bit 4 Evo and then moved to VF 5 online arena, but the online was awful, so didn't play too much with Eileen. Now i'm trying to take FS seriously with Jean, think he's a good character for starters, and he hits hard XD
