Whats up guys! Mr. Loverman (Chris) here. Been playing VF5FS for a while now but new to VFDC. I'm mainly a mid-tier Brad user, high tier depending on how focused I am. Lol. My current PSN ranking is Assassin, working towards Shatterer.

Apologies, looks like VF isn't there this year :( Although it was last and there is a mystery game, so I can still cross my fingers lol. Or host casuals myself or something. I'll be playing MK9 and probably Injustice

Hi, I'm new to you in the forum and wanted to introduce myself. Excuse my bad english, I'm from Germany. I have long thought to buy me VF5 and it finally made. I used to often played VF 2 as a child but then after that not at all. When I noticed some time ago that the game has a great community, I was really excited. The whole tournament, and so on, I found really great. Now I'm almost 30 years old and I'm starting again with Virtua Fighter. A little late perhaps? I want to actually play the game now of intense. It of course the fun is in the foreground. It is also clear to me that I will probably lose a lot. But I'm determined from these defeats. Yes that's it from me. I play on the Xbox 360 and my gamertag is sodometal if someone wants to add me.

One more thing please. Wolf was always my favorite character. Does it make sense to start with him? There are also so many moves in the list. Are there any that are not as important? And which are very important?

I thank you for the time to read the post. Tom

Welcome to VFDC solometal!! Any character you like is fine to start with. The most important moves in my opinion are [P], [2][P], [3][P] (14f mid attack), [4][P] (starts combos) and of course throws.

You don't have to use all the moves all the time. Just go through the command training and find out which ones work for you. I'd recommend turning the detailed information on so you can see how fast and damaging each one is.

Have a look at the glossary and the wiki to help get the hang of things.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try it once. I got from a friend a arcade stick. He is from Street Fighter. He has 6 buttons and is of madcatz. Tournament Edition or something like that. Should I use to play? Or rather on the pad first? Excuse the beginner question.

I'd recommend using the stick to play. Sticks are sticks but pads change from console to console. I myself use a Madcatz TE.

Hi I'm Dutch Samurai. I'm 36 from Joliet, Illinois. I'm relatively new to the VF scene, though I remember playing VF1 and VF2 at the arcades, when I was younger. I'm an avid Dead or Alive fan, as you probably guessed from my avatar. In case you didn't know, it's Ayane from DoA ;) But I'm a fan of all fighting games starting with Yie Ar Kung Fu and Karateka. Look it up, young'uns! Know your history! LOL! You all look like an awesome community and have already made me feel welcome here.
