Yeah I remember playing you in the past before. Your Goh is awesome and made my Jacky look stupid! Maybe we could get some player games in, help me learn Goh's movements more?

....Oh and I think I also managed to sneak a win against you on UMVC3 as well! lol

If you are refering to me, thank you very much!
Im still young in the VF world though and very noobish.

About Mahvel... yea my Skills have declined since i havent
been playing this game for a long time. I changed my Trish/Vergil/Dante
with Magnus/Vergil/Dante and from there ive gone downhill...
Doing Magnetos BnB loop with Capcoms horrendous online
dropped me from 5th to fighter. I started a bit again with my Vanilla team and got back to 8th Lord but i dont see myself
having the same patience to invest time in this game for a comeback (bad online really killed it for me). Its time has passed. Now its VF's time...

I hope we can meet to play again! [IMG]

Lord Hollow, from Warren MI. Played VF2 and VF3 for years (with only two other players), little of 4 and very little of 5. Glad to pick up FS and loving the interest in the game by everyone, locally and nationally. My main is Aoi and my secondary is Aoi. Hope to face you all one day.

    All,

I am currently opening The Next Generation Arcade in Columbus, Ohio called Just Play Games. Just Play Games is a new company that will provide high-level console gaming, and customer service in the following categories: Playstation 3's , Playstation 3 Move, XboX 360 Elite, and XboX 360 Kinect. Just Play Games will have Daily Competitions, Tournaments, League Nights, and Sponsorship for Professional Game Team. Just Play Games is here to solve the problem of not having a place to game on a regular basis for people of all ages at a competitive level.

I am wanting to know if there is a game license required to play VF? I have game licenses to play Microsoft, Ubisoft, & EA games. Either way I love VF and want to make it a official pro game in every tournament. Please someone reply back if I need a license so I can place the game in my arcade!!!

    Hi guys.

After a stony way of account-creation on vfdc ... I'am happy to get inside this forums. I really play VF since FS, but had some matches on the ps2 some times ago. After playing Tekken for some years, MortalKombat, Soul Calibur I'am happy to spend my time now to VF. Best gameplay and fun.

I'am not a PRO, but give all to show me from my best side or better Jacky's best side, the one and only in moment. I play only online, for offline and turnaments is no time for the moment. But there is still mutch to learn ... But I was a bit wondering that there are not more strats on the run. Mix'ups, Setups, Traps, not found any in the froums for FS. So let's talk about good stuff.

I'am hayppy to find some opponents for some challanges and learning in relaxed rounds or vs fights.

    Greez to all

I joined this forum mostly because I plan on getting Virtua Fighter 5 FS. Anyway, Which character in this game is best suited to start with? Some people say Jean, others, Jacky...

I don't know what to think, really.

Welcome. The best character to learn is the one you enjoy playing most! Every character has easier and more difficult stuff available to them, so don't worry about any being too hard to play. Try them all out in training then get to grips with the one you like the look of most.

  9. Hey people. I'm The Private Eyeball. I moved to NorCal about a month ago, and I've really been wanting to pick up a second fighting game (SSF4 is my main). Virtua Fighter is one of those series I've been interested in for a while, and with all the hype surrounding VF5FS, along with how much Sega has been pushing it, I figure it's worth a shot (will it keep my attention once P4A and Tekken Tag 2 come out? Who knows? But hopefully).

I always have a tendency to flock toward larger characters when I pick up a new game, so I'm looking at Taka. Wolf, and Jeffry right now. For reference, I main T. Hawk in SSF4, and my (horrible) MvC3 team has included Hulk (and Wesker) since vanilla launched. Also my SFxT team is Marduk/Hugo. And the short time I tried to play Blazblue, I liked Tager. I have a soft spot for the big guys. [IMG]

    Hello VF people,
My name is Roninbluez... I'm new to this website and PS3 Game. Having a blast however I think I got to my limit in VF online rank.. I'm a JKD student so I have to use Jacky...but I'm worried because I fought under 400 fights made it to Hunter and now I am just a punching bag... Can I get any advice to perfect my game? Thank you for your time community and looking forward to playing whoever whenever, Roninbluez PS3

Everyone who plays long enough gets to Hunter. If you're stuck there, you're probably not yet at the point where you need to *perfect* your game.

You can always go in player matches, you're more likely to learn how to play the game there, rather than ranked where everyone uses a gimmick and you barely have any time to practice against it.

Hello, I'm Austin, and relatively new to VF. I tried 4 and loved it, although I was strictly social with it. Tried DOA, hated it, Tekken, Loathed it, SC, 2 and 5 I respect, but just don't like. I want to take FS with some seriousness and welcome all the help I can get.(In the forms, PMS, bodying me online, dealer's choice!)
I'm working on getting an Xbox, so I hope to play on there soon, but as of right now, I'm strictly PSN.

I play other games, right now, my main is SkullGirls, Vampire Savior, and Final Showdown.

I'm picking up Persona 4 Arena when it hits U.S.

    I live in South Carolina.

@PrivateEyeball: Where in NorCal are you? There are going to be monthly tournaments at SouthTown Arcade in SF for VF and other 3D games starting next Friday (Aug 3) and there are sessions being hosted in that area as well.

    yuuuuuup. welcome to vf.

  15. I'm in Ssn Francisco. I read about the VF5 ranbats earlier. Not sure how tournament-comfortable I'll be by there (a lot of my free time is going toward SF4 right now, since I'm entering that at Revelations), but hopefully later in the season I'll enter a tournament, even if it's just for kicks.

All good. They might have a casuals station set up anyway, but you might just hit up one of cobratron's sessions since I think he'll be having them every weekend for the foreseeable future. He is also in SF.

Hey everyone, new to VFDC here but not new to Virtua Fighter, I played VF1 and VF2 in the arcades and on sega saturn, but hated VF3 and 4 so I took a break. Thankfully Pai has some great moves in VF5FS, so I'm back!

As far as mains go, started off with Pai, then moved on to Shun, and now I'm finding myself really enjoying El Blaze. Feel free to add me on PSN, especially if anyone's willing to help me get better at VF, I'm just here to practice and improve and have some fun while doing it!

Hey Ronin, Kamaage gave some good advice on his podcast, that once you get to a certain comfort level with your character it's time to go in the lab and practice your character's high damage, guaranteed damage combos.

I definitely have a harder time fighting people where almost every attack they land could potentially lead to 40% of my life being gone. Anyone else have any input on this?
