1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

I'm yet another new scrub added to the long list of people jumping on the VF band wagon after the FS info. =P I definitely gotta say the changes they've made from vanilla 5 look impressive and I'm looking forward to it! Though I forgot how technical this game was so jumping back into it has been an eye opener for sure!

Look forward to leveling up my game with you all!

Like...I guess a lot of people, I joined in the wake of the announcement VF5:FS is coming.

Never been a VF player before (I only ever owned 2) but I committed to learning this game if Sega ever brought it to console. I'm a big proponent of bringing a larger community to VF, as I know of the really crappy reception the greater scene has offered. Joining here at least means I'm doing what I can to commit to my mission.

Don't own VF5 but I could get it for cheap if it's a good idea to have. I plan on making Jean Kujo my main fighter come next year but I could probably learn Brad or someone (since I've got a few choices in mind for sub characters).

So, how should I get started?

EDIT: Also, what's up with my sig?

I've been playing a while now but never really played much online. Everytime I tried I only get my butt kicked. Now that VF5:FS has been announced it seems like it's a very good time to get better as this.

I'm from the Philippines. Hope to learn much from you guys.

Oh, 'cause your FAQ says something to the contrary.

    Hello All-

I'm not necessarily new to VF, but I'm kind of bad at the game. I love the depth and complexity of the series, but haven't really played competitively.

Anyway, I had dropped this game because no one was playing it, but with the recent announcement of a VF5FS console release, I'm going to be picking it up again.

Looking forward to being a part of this great community.

Hi my name is Supa and I am part of Team We Are TKO. I've played a couple of the VF series in the past but never on a serious level, but looking to change that hopefully. My main games I play are fighting and RPG's and the games I play most is SSF IV and the KOF Series. My GT is TKO SUPA and my PSN ID is TKO_Supasupreme. I do not own a copy of any VF's at present but will be looking to get FS and be trying to gain some general knowledge before hand. Want to learn Goh so any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you [IMG]

I was a member here at one time. It's been years so I can't remember what my handle was.

Trying to get re-acquainted with VF after playing religiously for over a decade. VF2 is still my favorite, and it's disappointing to see that SEGA hasn't re-released the game for next gen consoles.

After VF3TB for DC I drifted away from VF (this coincided with most arcades in my area cooling off) but I am looking to get a copy of VF5 online.. Painfully aware of the massive amount of time I'll need to invest to play the game at a high level again.

Hello VFDC! Long time lurker here. Fell into love with VF since 4 and have been following the series since. Probably won't be able to post much but hopefully with studying I'll be able to take down some scrubs upon FS's release.

Hey Supa! I've played you a lot on IV in the past on numerous accounts, also Rimz and Kingpin (and more, I think), very solid players! Glad to see you're interested in VF, it's a sick game! Don't wait around for FS tho, pick up a copy of VF5 vanilla and start getting a feel for the game. VF can take some adjusting to if you're coming over from SF.
Add me up on XBL for games if you like, I'm relatively new to the game also. Plus, if you want games of IV/3s too.

    Hello everyone!
The name's IsshunSengeki. But that's quite a mouthful, so you can just call me Sen. Or something. Whatever floats your boat. Even "that guy" works.
I'm a fighting game player from Brisbane, Australia. I'm not stellar, but I would like to get competitive.
I remember bashing away at VF4 on my PS2 as a kid, but apart from that, I don't really have any experience with VF. I do have a fair amount of experience with a number of other fighters (mostly 3rd Strike and AE), so I have a somewhat basic understanding of fighters in general.
Don't know why, but something just made me want to get into VF. With my newly-acquired TE, I think that I just might get there.
I'm by no means an expert or even mediocre at the game, but I'm always willing to learn. From my little study session I had previously, I decided that I really like Akira. If there are any other Aussie VF players here, my gamertag is lIsshunSengekil (those are lowercase L's on either end).
Looking forward to good times! [IMG]
