    I live in israel.
I think I will have a pretty bad experience playing online with most people here. [IMG]
Unless I also upgrade my connection, which might help.

Until then enjoy your stay in VFDC, while your waiting for an xbox you can learn the game by just reading up the threads that are in this site, for example in the dojo section there is lot's of information for each character, and the system of the game itself.

Hello. Very new player here, my friend loves VF5, and I think I am starting to see why. Really already having fun with it, even at a very low level. I was playing Vanessa, and am now messing with Eileen. Stick broke two days ago, so practice is kind of not happening for a little bit, but eh. Anyway.

    Main: Eileen
    Location: Oregon
    Power Level: 2

Always looking for competition, add me with a message on LIVE if you'd like.

hihi.(a brief history) the vf4 review for ps2 on techtv was the first satellite program i ever watched. the game was the first game i ever had (bought it for ps2 when it was $300)since the NES. i played the game for a year or so and really got into. i stopped playing and bought evo when it came out, and only played that for about a week until i got distracted. had a 360 and bought vf5 and played a handful of matches. didn't play more than that because siblings and friends found it too difficult with no real interest to learn so i just played sciv with them instead.

i went to fukuoka, kyushu for three weeks during july and played vf5:r almost nonstop after i found it. it was the first time i was able to use a joystick playing it (well besides playing vf1 at an airport terminal two matches years ago - i hated it back then) but i absolutely loved the vf5r joystick and found myself being able to easier execute commands and what not. needless to say, those three weeks rekindled a real interest in the game. im getting a new xbox this week and looking to make or buy a joystick the week after that, and can finally get xbox live so itll be nice to have people to play with.

i thought i was "intermediate" at the game, but as i only played with friends or by myself, i didnt realize so many intricacies until i started lurking around the boards. whereas i always considered vf to be a guessing game and anticipating your opponent, ive realized that's only part of it. anyways, i'm not very good. on vf4 i flip flopped between kage, jacky, lion, but in evo, 5, and 5r ive been using kage, and that's probably who ill always main. well see though.

i can't really stand tekken =/ doa is fun for goofing around with. i really enjoy soul calibur, which i'm the best at, but that's, like i said earlier, because i have the most practice with it. i really want to get into 2d fighters but i cant seem to give it the attention i need.

so in closing, youll probably be seeing more around more often. im anxious and excited to learn and progress. ill post my xbox live tag when i get it. (had two in the past, but will prob make a new one)

oh, im in southern us atm. just moved from los angeles (santa monica) and will be moving out there again summer '10. so hopefully therell be an irl vf community to get into, as opposed to here, where there's not one for at least 200 miles, probably further.

    homesick,
my friends list is full but, come join me or kam's chat party, . We can show u alot about the game if u like. At first Vf5 will seem dull, but when u understand the system... theres no other fighting game that even comes close to VF5.I suggest u print out a frame data of the character u wanna learn first n we can show u the vf way.

I got a PS3 and VF5 about a week ago. Have been playing online since but haven't seen that many players around. Are there more players on Xbox Live platform?

Coming from VF3 and completely skipped VF4. My main character Jacky changed quite a bit. I think I am doing pretty well with Lau, and to some extend Wolf.

I hope to meet and play with some of you online.

There is no online component for VF5 on the PS3. VF Online is 360 only.

He said "are there more players on Xbox Live platform?" I think he accidentally said PS3, he meant to say Xbox 360 since like you said there's no PS3 online.

Hey welcome to VFDC! We live pretty close to each other so our connection should be good. Feel free to add me anytime you want or if you prefer I'll just add you now.

I look forward on playing you, and you will learn a wealth of information while your in this site. [IMG]

Hello all. I'm Swamp from Anchorage, AK. Been playing VS5 "casually" for about 6 months, but decided to learn the game much more seriously. I want to attend a major tournament "out of state" sometime next year [I LOVE to travel to events].

I'm learning Akira, and I'm doing fairly well. Just need a bit more time [the guides here are a GREAT help btw]. I'm glad to meet everyone, and I hope to play you all soon.

    I play VF5 on X360.

    Hello everyone.

I'm Josh from Calgary. I'm completely new to VF5, I've dabbled in the series a little bit in the past but never really got into it. I was a big Street Fighter fan until 4 came out. I loved playing 3S a lot and I still do, but since SF4 came out I've been feeling rather burned on that series since SF4 was pure garbage. So I just picked up VF5 one day and that was that.

I enjoy using Sarah and Vanessa and am currently trying to decide which one I want to learn. My gamertag on 360 is KashaPsychoJosh.
